If anything, this incident has once again shown how much cooler we are than the local sports media.

I think Bogut's white suit was a bigger sin against Skiles' "... anything that gives the impression that we are not serious and focused at all times, is not the correct way we want to go about our business." CV gets his nuts chopped again.
Ban the white suit, ban twitter, ban See Joe Dunk, ban RJ's voice, ban Bogut's facial bum fluff. Welcome to the Milwaukee Beige.

I agree.
The way Villanueva described what actually occurred, I would find it absurd if he was even so much as reprimanded.
I do think it is a good idea to ban that kind of a thing from occurring in the lockeroom from now on though.

Re: Villanueva Posting On Twitter At Halftime Today
I'm amazed by this story, I didn't think this would get as much pub as it did. It truly was such a non issue regarding, IMO, the most pointless social networking site out there. Is updating your facebook status, Myspace whatever they have, Aim away message, or sending out a mass phone text really that much different from this crap? The Web 2.0 sleuth in me says no. Bahh, sheep (I bet they're eating sonic too
)
Cheryl Tweedy needs to be called in to investigate this tweet.
Edit: Not sure if anybody brought this up, but it wouldn't be out of the realm for the organization to cite this incident as 'unprofessional' come July once Hammond(s) fails to clear cap space.

As I said earlier, the only thing that should happen with this is Skiles should put a boot up Charlie's ass and tell him to wait until after the game, as any coach would - maybe give him some suicide's at practice this week. No big deal, just don't do it again.

Oh crap. CV is letting us know...
Five minutes later...
He nailed it but I hope he doesn't get nailed for his comments. You know people are going to take this way out of proportion.
About to take my nap, but I'm looking for some answers here, what's the difference between halftime twitting and halftime interview?
Five minutes later...
I personally think it's a control issue

He is still big child. Skiles said what he had to say and CV should just leave it as it is. Now, he is becoming chemistry problem. Oh well. It's not like we would re-sign him anyway

Re: Villanueva Posting On Twitter At Halftime Today
The ironic thing in all of this and what seems to be getting lost is he played better in the second half and the Bucks won the game.
For a team that desperately needs fans and interest, attempting to silence a charismatic and outgoing young player may not be the smartest thing in the world.
Twittering at halftime or before/after a game...honestly I don't care. If it's true that much of the league is on their cell phones during games or in the locker room, then I don't see why Twittering should be outlawed. I think there's a significant upside and zero downside provided cell phone use is already going on. if it's not then it's probably not a good idea to start.

No I think CV should put some "Eye of the Tiger" on and work himself into a sweating frenzy at halftime. No need for "distractions" like fans at halftime.

Re: Villanueva Posting On Twitter At Halftime Today
CV's comments are interesting since we will never know how the conversation went. Skiles could've been a dick about it or he could've just said we got a lot of pressure from the league to stop it.
Judging by the first story it seems like it was no big deal, and I find it crazy you guys are calling Skiles a hardass for this, it may not even have been his call.
I do agree that he does wears on his players, which is what makes this year frustrating, Skiles is a coach that will be great for only a few years and then the players quit. I like Skiles but I think its only a matter of time.

Yeah, Skiles pattern is usually two to three good years, then flame out by the players.
With Suns:
Year 1: 40-22
Year 2: 51-31
Year 3: 25-26 (fired)
With Bulls:
Year 1: 19-47
Year 2: 47-35
Year 3: 41-41
Year 4: 49-33
Year 5: 9-16 (fired)

Re: Villanueva Posting On Twitter At Halftime Today
It is about control, but CV shouldn't take it personally, because it's not about controlling him, it's about controlling external perceptions. The difference between texting and tweeting should be self-evident -- one of them goes public by its very nature. It's not that CV did anything actually wrong or destructive, but he did clearly break a taboo by communicating with the public, mid-game, in a not-officially-sanctioned way. That's really all there is to it. He might feel a little ass-hurt because the franchise didn't run to his full support, but time will give him the perspective to understand their position.
And if not, then he's a manchild, like Sigra said.

i don't think anyone said skiles was a hardass about this, i, and some other people, said that we didn't think it would beneficial to the team if he was

Re: Villanueva Posting On Twitter At Halftime Today
Well, the way I see it, if it gives the fans an opportunity to rip into CV for a poor performance at halftime via tweets, I wouldn't be opposed to it. CV could take those fans' comments and criticism seriously and that may motivate him to come out of the half stronger and ready to go. There's nothing that motivates more than criticism from ones' own fans..

Well looks like the Bucks are gonna take this and use it..
From Bucks Twitter:
"In a meeting and ideas are flying right now. Trying to figure out if we can incorporate tweets as crowd messages. Ex: GET LOUD BUCKS FANS!"

"Twitter video board at the BC? Would fans react to tweets?"

Wow... this is gonna get really dumb.
