Comparable due to the change in nba economics, without a doubt. Similiar in nature due to betting on development of talent that may or may not come. Perfect comparison. Betting on guys that play only one side of the ball, again, a perfect comparison.

Haha no, they aren't comparable at all in the "economics" part even with the lowering of contracts and even if Sessions didn't develop at all (don't know if that happens often, especially to a player who showed the talent he did), $4 million for your backup point guard and potential two guard is not bad at all, especially when aren't you one that likes the idea of Hinrich?

Oh also, Sessions was an underrated defender on these boards. He may not have been a good defender (like Jennings or Ridnour are  ) but he was not a bad defender at all.

the mob mentality has drove away too many good posters. we all need to learn from this, this is becoming a bad after school special around here IMO. Im just glad Bdub & sigra havent snaped & shot up the place :)

4 months is comparable to 10 games?

39 games is about three months worth, not four.

The point still stands. I don't understand why people take such small sample sizes and make a big deal out of it.

Ramon Sessions isn't a 15/8 guy on 45% shooting until he actually... You know... Does that for an entire year, rather than 39 games worth.

Jennings at 20 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sessions at 20

If someone puts up 15/8 when given the opportunity then that's obviously what he can do unless you can show reason why he can't. Do you have any valid reason as to why he couldn't have maintained his numbers over more games? This is like the argument that Bogut couldn't be a 16 point a game player because he only averaged that over a span of 50 games rather than 80.

Classic sore loser/crybaby mentality.

rilamann is the guy who makes terrible analogies.

Let me break it down like this.

If WEFFPIM had an opinion or someone ''shared his opinion'' and he or that person was blasted by pretty much everyone in a thread for having that opinion, then months later he or that person was proven to be spot on and the thread was bumped I highly doubt he would have a problem with that and I'm sure he would be lovin this board.

But if the opinion wasn't shared by him and/or he might not be a fan of the poster who was spot on he suddenly ''doesn't like this board anymore''.Boo hoo hoo.

My analogy used the same principle......Guy loves basketball,is hyped to play it all day, talks trash to you, then you mop the floor up with him and suddenly ''he doesn't like basketball anymore'' and takes his ball and goes home.

I used a ''real life'' situation to describe WEFFPIM's ''throw punches, cry when you punch back'' crybaby mentality he has here on this board (along with a few others).I hope for his sake he doesn't have that same mentality in the real world.

I didn't think it would be that hard for some of you to understand.

Shame on me for using a ''real life'' experience in my analogy with some of you who spend way too much time on the internet.

Maybe this will be better and easier for some of you to understand....Guy posts on message board 18+ times a day (obviously likes the board) but then suddenly doesn't like the board anymore when someone bumps a thread in which they where spot on after taking abuse by almost everyone in that thread.Because the opinion wasn't shared by himself and/or he wasn't fan of the poster who was spot on.

And technically Bdub didn't bump this thread, this thread was linked in a recent thread. He just posted in the thread after it was linked,he didn't ''go looking'' for this thread.

I was the first one to suggest including Jeffries or Curry in a Sessions sign-and-trade last year because I thought the Knicks would include more assets, like Hill or Gallinari. I certainly didn't experience the response of you and LUKE23 as being a playful, sarcastic jab.

Now we find out that Walsh actually considered something like that, and relieving the Knicks of Jeffries in order to get Hill has become a very vogue idea here. I pretty much gave up on getting people, most of whom I would otherwise respect, to at least acknowledge the plausibility of my outside-the-box ideas. I stopped posting for several months, not so much because I was pissed but because I started to suspect that there was little hope of intelligent discussion for a while there. ("Trade for Jeffries? Trade Bogut? What are you, (Please Use More Appropriate Word)??" is not my idea of intelligent discussion).
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

WEFFPIM wrote:See, it's bulls*** like this that just pisses me off. You were right about the worth of Ramon Sessions. That's fine! But it's the incessant personal attacks that you feel the need to lace your posts with at every opportunity. And don't get me wrong, Luke23 does them plenty as well, and it's annoying as sin. That's where the "pounding your chest and dancing around" comes from. You wanna bump and old thread and show everyone that they were wrong? Go for it. There's no reason to be an immature child when you do.

And you are not immature child when you follow each of my posts with "Go away" and things like that? You are biggest child here
