I'm not sure I get this post. Are you saying you want Giannis to play more like Adams, Ibaka, and Kanter? Seems to me small ball isn't working so well for GS in this series.

Have you not noticed OKC going to their bigger small ball lineup completely changing the series?

Serge is getting over 30 mpg and Adams/Kanter have been splitting nearly over 30 mpg. Thats a lot of minutes for bigs to be called small ball (and their SF is 6-11 and Westbrook is a Marvel Comics Superhero). Yes, they have used Foye and Waiters in smallish lineups, but my response was because the original post would be like Durant playing the 5.

Sorry folks, I went a little off topic and now I'm aware this is going to drift away from the Giannis Development topic. My bad.

OKC doesn't fall into a 'small ball' cliche. Ibaka, Adams, and Kanter all fulfill anomalous roles as dynamically athletic big men. In the Thunder's case, Ibaka and Kanter both fulfill the ability to stretch the floor given their offensive gifts. Kanter, on the other hand, actually has an array of low-post options. Adams, is the consummate banger with extreme explosiveness and a p n r chemistry that has matured over several years w/ the freak that is Westbrook. Both Adams and Ibaka are competent defensive players whereas Kanter is a liability - hence, he is routinely subbed out vs. the Warriors. OKC, at this caliber, is an entirely new breed of explosion. They are absolutely not small. They are long, big, explosive, and deadly.

Ibaka playing the 5 and KD the 4 is still technically small ball even though both those guys are big and long :eyebrows:
That's the lineup that has completely neutered the best lineup in the NBA.

Giannis could play either role for us eventually.

OKC is toasting them by going 'small' with durant at 4 and ibaka at 5. It's an even stronger death lineup than GSW since durant's length means they dont sacrifice rim protection. Giannis is stronger than durant, he'll be able to play the 5 for stretches

It is a smaller lineup than what OKC normally runs, but it is a bit odd to call it a small ball lineup. Even against GS regular 4/5 combo of Green/Bogut they aren't at any type of size disadvantage. OKC is normally just huge.

Thanasis and Kristaps are already friends, they spend time a lot together and he got invited by Thanasis for the event.
I cna see both Giannis and Kristapz being friends as their both good guys . Now all im afraid is that this friendship somehow takes Giannis away from us which wont happen ebcause Giannis just literally said he want to make Milwakuee great and become a legend.
**** YES GIANNIS.

OK it's official. Printezis out for the NT.

This means the possibilities to qualifiy for the olympics have vanished.

So Giannis and the Bucks will only have to "invest" 2-3 Weeks for the qualification Tournament in Italy
beginning from 4th to 8th July.

The preparation of the NT will start around the mids of June (I guess 20th of June) so we are talking about only 3 Weeks
may be 3-4 friendlies and 4 Games at the tournament.

The return for the bucks will be:
1. Giannis is satisfied as he wishes to play for the NT
2. time "lost" only 3 Weeks
3. Giannis will develop as a true leader
4. professional training instead of show-games
5. will develop in defense
6. games under pressure

In Case we qualify for the Olympics (which is a minor risk in my opinion as most of our stars retired or are injured)
Giannis would play against the best teams and players in the world in a tournament that is a dream for every sportsman.
His motivation will be high.

In case they bucks won't let him play for the NT he will be frustrated (to say the least). If Greece will qualify without Giannis
the Greek NT will be in an uncomforable situation in which discussions like "recall Giannis for the Olympics", "which player will
have to be cut for Giannis" etc. will arise.

If Greece qualifies and Giannis will not play he will be really really pissed

Your decision Jason ;)

Alex Saratis and his client Giannis Antetokounmpo were having dinner in Taiwan last summer when Saratis realized what so many of us would recognize over the following year: Giannis was changing.

Whereas before it was like, "Wow, golly gee, I’m lucky to be here." And now he was like, "I want this to be my team.”

And the reason is?

Do you refer to my poor english? I am not a native speaker. Sorry for that.

Or do you disagree with my opinion that Giannis could develop in a short NT Summer?

I really think that this short stint with the NT would not take anything away from the Bucks and benefit Giannis
and his development.

What ever. Everybody has his own opinion. Most of the Greeks would accept if Giannis would sit out this summer and so do I.
Nevertheless Giannis has a strong wish to join the NT and the Bucks should accept this.
Especially when the signs show that the stint will be only for a short period of time.

That time is during summer league and we all know the Bucks run extra practices. So for me it's a no brainer what he should do

After the Nike commercial spot, this time Giannis (and Thanassis) appear in a Huawei commercial they will also appear today at a Mall for promotion. Wonder if Giannis keeps developing like he is, if he gets a shoe deal at one point (lots of potential with the greek freak theme :D ) :
