Spoiler:
Time jumps don't matter at all to me. They established within the 1st couple episodes of the series that they weren't concerned with travel times or showing the day to day minutia that would make viewers bored. I don't get why people are only now up in arms of Euron, a guy known to be maybe the most accomplished sailer in the entire world.

Spoiler:
Agreed, especially the last sentence. Euron is the king of the sea. It's also possible that Dany's two fleets didn't leave at the same time. It's not that far fetched to me that he was already near the Greyjoy/Dorne fleet and quickly ambushed them, King's Landing is not far from there and he was probably there less than a day. Then he books it to Casterly Rock. Even if the Unsullied fleet got a head start on him, we're talking about maybe one of the worst fleets vs the absolute best. How do we know when the unsullied left Dragonstone?

Spoiler:
How do we know this though, aside from being told? The only evidence in the show we have to go on is some deific ability to sail be at one end of the continent one day, and then catch up to a fleet that left earlier than he did minutes after they reach their target. The writers have not done enough with the Euron character to this point to justify his teleportation-like speed that has been shown in the most recent episode.

How do you know exactly when certain fleets left? Are we just assuming Dany's split crew left at the same time?

I mostly like how the show is handling Jaime's arc. They've meandered a bit, but I'm still invested in his personal journey. This is a guy who's turned the corner in his orientation to the world, but even his renewed senses of compassion and community can't quite escape the warping field created by his love for Cersei. His scene with Olenna is one of the shows best moments in years, and NCW beautifully sold how rattled Jaime was by the encounter.

I loved that scene also, what a great ending to the episode.

As an aside for me, i love any scene that the Hound is in. Him and Bronn are arguably my two favorite small characters in the show because simply them talking about almost anything ends up being interesting and/or funny.

I think it's assumed he's going towards Eastwatch, no? It's the closest tower to Hardhome.

Seems like I should probably just avoid this thread until the GoT season ends lol. Was curious if anyone was talking about Ozark in here haha. Perhaps someday I'll try to watch GoT.

I'm currently also beginning to watch Westworld. I'm through 3 episodes so far; I find it to be really fascinating to this point.

If he was going toward anything, he'd have been there by now.

Spoiler:
Hasn't it been implied that the Wall is embedded with some sort of magic that prevents the white walkers and the undead from passing through? Thought they had said something about it in previous seasons. Because them taking over Hardhome was now 2 whole seasons ago. If they were marching towards the Wall then there's no way it would have taken this long.

Spoiler:
Well remember, they went north after Hardhome to confront the Three-Eyed Raven. But it makes more sense for them to approach the wall from Eastwatch than it does for them to go through the more heavily-manned Castle Black.

And yes, there is some magic that prevents the white walkers from passing, but there are an assortment of theories of why that magic won't stop them this time.

I'm still holding out hope that Victarion shows up and cuts everyone in half. Moqorro at his side. Goddamn, now I'm just getting angry at the show.

The quality of performances in its finale could not make up for what was a mess of a final season for Kingdom.

Spoiler:
If you notice the opening credits in every episode in season 7, the sea to the east (Bay of Seals) is frozen

in all previous seasons it is water. So I assume they will pass from there, unaffected by magic and somehow explaining the delay ?

Spoiler:
Ya I've read a few fan theories about walking around the wall and how Bran f'd things up.

Bran is going to be too important to this series, they didn't keep him alive this long and be so useless forever, if there wasn't some big payoff at some point.

But it doesn't matter to me if he becomes the savior for all of westeros or the cause of it's destruction. I truly dislike his character. I haven't liked him in a long time. Everyone dies because of him, and he's just useless little chit. People always trying to save him, wars fought over him, but he sucks. Little damn twat. The old 3 eyed raven was much better than his pathetic kid. He gets everyone killed, he created the most tortured soul in the history of westeros with Hodor, he's just fargs everything up, and he's a tool. And when he finally gets reunited with his sister, his first conversation with her is, "Damn girl you looked fine the first night of your endless nights of rape!" WTF, you like causing PTSD on people, especially the ones who care about you? Well you **** with HODOR's mind, so I guess that's your M.O.

Blah blah blah, He will save the day or cause more problems with his timelooping, and it will be all about him and his actions make the world turn. Ugh. I don't want to give so much importance to such an annoying character. I would cheer if someone could just shove a dagger through his neck and eliminate him from the show.

If you actually watch the credits, it's very obvious that is clouds. Nothing more, nothing less.

Holy hell, The Dark Tower is getting lit up in reviews. It sounds terrible.

They turned one of Stephen King's most enthralling series (I've never read the books so this is just through word of mouth) and dumbed it down into what looks like a cheesy summer blockbuster with cliche themes and action sequences, going by the trailers. Not that surprising IMO.

That's a bummer. I was really hoping Idris Elba would find a way to nail that role.

Spoiler:
That's an interesting take. I looked at the opening credits from the previous years and it's definitely true that the Bay of Seals looks...whiter(?) then it does right now. That could be clouds, as KidA24 pointed out, but it is also possible that the Bay of Seals has frozen.

That would be a kind of lame way to get around the wall, though. I mean, this isn't the first Winter that Westeros has seen. You'd think that if it was as easy as walking around the wall on a frozen lake, they would have implemented some measures to stop that from happening.

Haven't read it, but from my friends who have, sounded like an easy call for a TV series over a film.

^this.

I think Ron Howard initially wanted to do a mini-series on the Dark Tower a few years back for HBO(?), but it never came to fruition.

Everyone calls for everything to be made into a tv series these days. It could easily have been made into a movie, especially the first part. Going to see it tonight.
