Still sticking with my DDV prediction from yesterday. Had been a lot of smoke coming from the organization earlier in the process, including from Marques.

It's a so-so pick to me and I think it's going to take him longer to acclimate than other guys, although I think he's got a pro skill set and good quickness.

I like Mo's coordination and skill level as a big, I just think picking him in the 1st round would have been a lot more useful 5-10 years ago before the proliferation of 4 out play. He's a dime-a-dozen player now.

I don't recall where I saw something about our entire staff showed up to watch Zhaire, or something to that effect. Makes me think if he is there, very possible he is the guy.

DDV would acceptable, not super thrilled but not disappointed. In fact, the list of guys I would deem acceptable is pretty damn long in this draft.

I'm at the point to where if they pass on Huerter, i'll be upset. Knockdown shooter, above average passer, solid defender, solid height and one of the highest BB IQ's in the draft. Makes almost too much sense.... Which is why he wont be picked lol.

There's no such thing as a reach in the NBA Draft once you escape the lottery. Chimezie Metu is slotted in the middle of the second round of every mock I've seen, but I've heard that the Bucks are smitten with him.

Who is Chimezie?

I forgot who it was but they posted about him a while back when I said “who’s the name we call that everyone would ask ‘what?’” - I’ve been a fan since. It would be very bucks but I would be okay with it.

I wanna stay far away from Kostas.... Why put yourself in a position to have to waive your best player's little brother?

If DDV really is the target I'd hope we'd be able to trade back to nab him. #17 feels like a reach

Drafting Donte would be such a DJ Wilson pick. Their college production are eerily similar with of course the big couple games at the end.

Forget who else is on the board, taking Donte in and of itself would be enough to warrant the destruction of various household electronics.

Out of curiosity, why? Had two good years of production, efficient, rebounds nearly as well as DJ Wilson did, versatile, good size for the 1, seems to give good effort defensively, as I recall tested outstanding, seems like his great championship game is almost being used against him. Seems there is enough production over the last two years to merit being a mid to late first.

A hunch I suppose. When I watch I just don't get the impression that he's going to be a good NBA player. For all the different stats that now exist to rate a player I still think there's value in the eye test and overall feel when watching someone play. It's not a knock on his college production where he was indeed a good player.

I bet we're smitten with him but not with #17, with a 2nd rounder we could buy. I'd rather not have him though

he's my #1 choice...unless a few guys fall (namely Rob WIlliams), I will be very pissed if he's not the pick

Watch Detroit draft him and sign Thansis...Sweeney was just the first domino in their 5 year plan.

Yeah, fair enough, we are all couch scouts for the most part. I just think he checks a number of boxes if you think he can defend the 1.

If Giannis is losing Sweeney, it'd be nice if Kostas was with the Herd and could train with his brother and Suki...play with the Herd...and develop

What time does Alex Lasry post our draft board? Interested to know where we rank the prospects.

I think there are other guys I would prefer. If Kostas last name was anything but Antetokounmpo, I don't think you are looking at a draftable player.

I do think the bruising rebounding shotblocking archetype will be largely antiquated within a few seasons. Makes me wary of Robert Williams. You NEED to be able to both shoot and switch on the perimeter.

Yea I was probably over aggressive in my original post. I've just been firmly against it since his name became connected and would much rather have a number of guys in that range.
