These are ultra rich guys but none are so rich that a 1/2 billion is a drop in the bucket. Edens is worth 1.2 and Lasry 1.8 billion.

It's wild to me that in a league with revenue sharing and where one player can make such a huge difference that franchise valuation can vary so much based on the current presence of one guy. Feels extraordinarily capricious. But it makes sense in the context of sports franchises as the tinker toys of the ultra rich.

Would think so too. I still could see NO losing their team again. Is Minnesota a potential candidate at some point? Target Center is older, it's a hockey state, and geographically works going to Seattle.

Im a fool but i decided to re up for next year even after they screwed me out of my two year price locked contract. Decided that if and when we get to the finals against some western powerhouse i would rather pay 400 per ticket than 2000 and thats really all it comes down to.

There's no guarantee those Finals tickets won't be priced closer to the $2,000 than the $400 by then. After all many of us had our potential Finals tickets triple in price this year. If they reach the Finals this year and the team sees that despite the bump in prices they still left way too much $ on the table (spoiler: they did) they won't hesitate to triple them again for next season.

Agreed. And I think the market is peaking this year. If the go to the Finals, that newness will be gone going forward. If they lose prior I could see some pessimism seep in and/or the team falls back a bit next year leading to less excitement. I just dont see prices holding for whatever reason. I could end up being off but I'm not risking it.

For any of you that put in a cancel request via tickets@bucks.com, did you get a confirmation or response? Credit back yet (if applicable)?

I didn't get much pushback at all. Emailed tickets and copied in my rep, and rep responded within 36 hours that credit will processed to my card. With that said, havent gotten the credit back yet, haha. Only 2nd business day since confirmation though. I'll give it a week.

I never got a call back from my rep for a few days after I let him know I was looking to cancel so I emailed tickets@bucks.com telling them the same thing. They never responded at all, but my invoice went away for next season. The whole process has mirrored my entire experience as a season ticket holder with them.

Right. So far my experience has gone like this...

1. Reached out after the invoice with some questions around benefits and concerns with pricing/likely not renewing.
2. Day later my rep responded by wanting to call me and we agreed to connect the following week. Honestly I wasn't super high on a call as wanted paper trail on whatever was discussed.
3. Never heard anything all week (and I never reached out either) and I just decided no benefits/perks were worth a 90% price increase in my situation.
4. End of that week I submitted formal email to tickets@bucks.com and copied my rep to cancel.
5. Day later my rep responded saying the charge will be credited back to my credit card and looked forward to speaking with me (not sure why?).
6. Still waiting on refund of my 2 months paid to be charged back (4th day)...and haven't gotten that phone call either, haha.

I just want the refund so I can be done with it.

And you've been a STH for a pretty long time right? I remember buying a set from you (or you maybe even just gave them to me) what has to be 6 or 7 years ago for a game against Utah where like 1,200 people were there.

Edit: I looked back in my PMs and it was March of '14. Bucks pummeled Utah for like their 9th win of the season. We've come a long way.

Yeah there were some rough years in there. I originally had a half plan in 03-05 and then again from 2009-2016. I switched to full in 2016 for Kidd's 1st year as tickets were cheap and I figured I could break even at worst. It was good run but yeah not worth it anymore imo.

I did some random calculation where I took (Next year's Invoice - Money Back for Games Sold in Current Year) / Tickets used...to see how I would have come out with the new pricing. I think the total will be $38 a ticket for 74 tickets after selling tickets to LAL, LAC, Sunday Games, Sat Warriors, Friday Thunder. Next year's cost is $45 a seat. So basically the increase took away profit (my average seat cost only dropped $7) despite selling the best games, taking on big risk, and fronting the money. They basically took away any financial incentive to buy ST and it is solely based on emotional desire to be a season ticket holder. Yet, they still use "Investment" in communications.

Also thought this promo was great since we were talking about them doing discounts before the game. They are doing some (Save $.60 on a Johnsonville brat!) but won't even let you save a buck on a $11 beer.
"We are also providing 10% off at concession stands from early entry doors open until the end of the third quarter. The 10% off is good on food and non-alcoholic beverages and can be used at all concession stands except Chick-Fil-A and Auntie Anne's. To receive 10% off, you will need to show your Bucks Member ID located inside the Membership Benefits Tab within the Bucks app.

As a reminder, benefits are not transferable. Please note that the 10% off can be only used on credit and debit card transactions."

And the other factor is secondary site fees. You're going to have to list around $60/seat just to break even (and buyer pays more on top of that). You planning to renew?

I emailed my rep weeks ago to let him know I won’t be renewing due to the 84% increase and to remove the auto-payment invoice before I was charged nearly $4k. A few days later it was gone from my account.

I log into my account today and notice yet another auto-renewal with 3/16 as the date my card will be charged so I guess I have to send him yet another email asking for this one to be removed.

So for those of you who cancelled, might want to make sure they didn’t slip another invoice in your account.

That might be your playoff tickets. I thought the first round was scheduled to be withdrawn on that date. If you didn't agree to playoff tickets this year obviously that's an issue.

Yeah, I got an "It's time to renew!" e-mail today. I have until April 3rd to make my decision or my ticket price for two seats jumps another $12/seat -- 20% higher.

Good call, I've got my playoff invoice now as well as an auto-renewal showing up to go through in 3 weeks. Time to try to get hold of the rep again.
