I guess I didn't understand just how big this launch was. I knew several here were playing, but it didn't click with me that a game from Amazon could become the 5th largest concurrently-played game in Steam history on launch day during the day. Wow.

I played some during the beta and the frame rate was pretty bad when I visited the first main town, I’m hoping it’s better now. I have a 2080, might have to start keeping an eye out for a 3080/3090.

I don't remember specifically what I have but 2080 sounds about right. I didn't have issues on open beta. Still waiting to find out!

This just in: "players can reloacte to any server of their choice for free in the next two weeks."

I was joking with a buddy that our company should be called, "We Dawgs".

I haven't even heard anyone outside of this forum say a word about the game. I had no clue it was this big of a deal lol

I read somewhere they intentionally capped the servers at 2,000 people when they can handle up to 10,000.

Tamed a bunch of wolves in Valheim before even the 2nd boss. Was using them to help hunt down onion seeds in the mountains. Was unaware that tamed animals won't attack the same animal type, ever. Super far into a mountain now with my body being guarded by feral wolves :(

I am loving D2R so much. I've gotten some high rune drops - namely Vex - that have changed what I projected to build next. Trapsin was a great starter and am still playing it and probably will at least another week, but now beginning to farm for and plan what to build next. Think I might move to Sorc, which I was avoiding only because it's meta and like 75% of people are playing it, but I'm going to have incredible Sorc gear. Could also roll a Druid, though.

Convinced my buddy to stop playing D2 Classic and get D2R, too, so on the side we've got dedicated chars going. Running Pally there and making a Holy Freeze Zealot, and will switch-over to a Tesladin at some point hopefully. Lots and lots of farming to go, though.

Brother in law just got Oculus VR for my kids, I've had two fights in Thrill of the Fight and I'm dead from exhaustion. I boxed a bit when younger and this **** is good.

Update - got my body back and near by I saw the remains of a structure that is supposed to have onion seeds. It did not. What it did have was some a Stone Golem that immediately killed me. Now I'm out my good gear and good backup gear. This is fun.

Playing through Cyberpunk 2077 intermittently between my daily "chore" games. It's too bad that it was a messy launch and bugged beyond belief, because it means that people will always hold it accountable for what it should have been (bah gawd the best damn game ever) instead of what it is: an actually great game with very immersive storytelling.

Yea, I've said it on here before but I got it at launch and outside some regular hard crashes (every couple hours or so), I thought the game was great. Save system always brought me back to within 30 seconds or so of where I was, and the fast PS5 loading times meant it wasn't really a big deal at all for me.

I picked Nioh 2 back up to start completely fresh. I never really got going in NG+ like I did the first one, so starting completely over seemed fine. I didn't realize it back then but the first "tutorial" level really does a wonderful job introducing you to everything you need to survive. It's going to be way harder than it needs to be unless you take full advantage of the opportunities it gives you to level up a handful of times, learn a couple very valuable skills, fight red revenants, and most importantly, use blue revenants to fight with you.

I think a big problem was they over promised based on the early renderings in addition to the bugs and people never got over that. Similar to No Man's Sky which is now a pretty **** awesome game.

Agree w/ both of you, I loved CP2077. I had like 2 bugs that were corrected with going back an hour or 2 in my saves, so nothing game breaking. As far as other bugs go, I went from playing Wasteland3 right to CP2077 and I experienced far worse crashes and loading times with Wasteland than I did w/ Cp2077. Talk about two great games back to back, though. Wasteland3 then CP2077, two of my current greats.

Final Update - Finally got my gear back. I just raised ground all the way to my grave. Eventually got chased off by a Drake. Going to wait another to kill 3rd boss before trying for onions again.

I've got a 3060 ti and it seems better than open beta, but still not very efficient. I'm pulling 100fps out of town and drop to mid 40s in town. Not a huge issue, but I feel like even with all the people I should still be able to run smoothly all the time on low settings. I can run Doom Eternal on ultra at over 100 fps.

I’m hitting like 120 outside of towns and anywhere from 40-60 when in town. Not terrible but wish it was better. Also playing at 1440p on medium settings.

The last major expansion to Terraria finally hit consoles today and I'm psyched for Journey mode.

Journey Mode is an option that can be selected upon creation of new characters and worlds. It allows the player a wide array of customization options during gameplay, including duplication of items, modification of time and weather, and difficulty sliders. Journey mode is only accessible with Journey characters in Journey worlds (Journey worlds can only be accessed using Journey characters, and Journey characters can only play in Journey worlds).

Journey Mode is intended to be Terraria's "creative" or "tourist" mode, making it relatively easy to acquire items and explore Terraria's various elements and mechanics without having to overcome its normal progression of challenges; though Journey players do have the ability to adjust the game's difficulty on-the-fly to challenge themselves and test different difficulty levels.

Between this and the insane amount of content I've missed since the game first came out, it sounds like an incredibly chill time suck.
