I heard Hammond has a link to Draft Express, so we're good.

I saw him at the BP gas station picking up his Lindy's NBA draft mag.

my guess is these individual workouts are more important for 2nd rounders as they haven't seen them in person as much as the top guys.
let's be real, the bucks have scouted jabari/embiid/wiggins multiple times in person in college games and in pre draft preparation (like the workouts in santa monica and santa barbara). how many times have they seen billy baron in person or spencer dinwiddie?
on top of it, they prolly want to bring in the top guys closer to the draft

Jabari, Embiid and Wiggins probably won't even step foot in Milwaukee until Cleveland figures out what they're doing.

I think you can take Jabari off that list. He most likely knows there's no way he's going #1. Hence, his dad saying how it'd be great if he played in MKE.

Sounds like you think Randle will score in the NBA without a jumper, and McDermott will struggle - and I think the opposite. Are we at the stage where we can come back to the discussion after they've played in the NBA?

Pretty sure he's said the opposite a few days ago. Pretty sure I read from his agent that if Cleveland doesn't commit to Embiid, Jabari will work out for them and then they'll consider us.

Randle is a traditional PF, he already has a foundation. McDermott is too small to play even a stretch 4 and to slow to play on the wing. He will live and die by how crafty he can be off the ball to get in position to score. Randle should and will be able to utilize his skill set to be forceful in the paint.
Sure, both have defensive limitations but I'm willing to bet Randle has more success guarding bigs and I feel like they'd be equally as bad guarding wings so I still give the advantage to Randle.
Plus I think McDermott is overrated truthfully. Seniors are supposed to dominate college basketball. They are more mature physically and mentally. That's just life in general.
This post doesn't add up. Randle will score in the NBA because he's better physically, but McDermott scored more in the NCAA because he was better physically?
I get what you mean, but don't agree.
I never said McDermott was better physically in college at all. I clearly said Randle has a NBA position already and has the body type to play his position whereas McDermott possesses neither of those. And yes, IMO that'll translate to Randle being able to score better in the pros than McDermott even though McDermott was the superior scorer in college. Plus I was talking all around skill set, not just scoring. Which brings me back to why I don't like 1 trick ponys like McDermott in the 1st place. And I don't agree that u like the Vikings but we can't all be perfect.
I actually think Randle is more of a one trick pony than McDermott. McDermotts one thing is scoring ability, but he can catch and shoot, cut off the ball, create for himself, initiate offense, post up, curl off of screens, etc.
Randle's one thing is rebounding, which isn't even as good as some other prospects in this years class. He's not a good finisher inside, doesn't shoot outside, and can't create for others at all. I'm not really sure what people see in him offensively besides the fact that he tries hard.
I can definitely see why people think he's so safe given his motor and his rebounding, and the fact that he was able to score even without having much to his game, but people said the same things about Thomas Robinson too, and it wouldn't really surprise me if he ended up just being slightly better than him.

Right. Cleveland will get to look at each of the 3/4 first. What might be even worse I fear is that Philly might get to see these guys before us as well.
My guess is that we wont see any of the 4 next week at all. I would say 7 days before the draft we will workout the first of the 4. Embiid probably the day before when he doesn't get the guarantee from Cleveland he expects.

Why do I think Gery put all sorts of words in Sonny Parker's mouth for that interview?
For all we know, Sonny could have gone on for an hour telling Gery how he wished the Lakers would trade up to #2 for Jabari, but Gery left that part of the interview out.

True but I tend to believe it because when you require dialysis its not the easiest thing to travel and he's so close to MKE it would actually be a great situation for the Parker family. Although, let's be honest, its not like Jabari won't be able to afford to move them wherever he lands so who knows

Man, I gotta say... this is **** stupid. WE HAVE THE #2 PICK IN THE DRAFT!!! I hate the arrogance of some of these agents today that try and **** around teams and make their players look like douchebags in the process.

I can only speak for Duke games but I saw Hammond personally at Duke games watching Parker at least 5x so I'd assume he did the same or more at Kansas.. I think he has a good handle on each of them if we don't end up getting them in for workouts.

Re: Official #2 Pick Thread pt. II - New Poll
I do like Parker's family pedigree. Bodes very well for him. Then again Wiggins and Embiid aren't bad either in that dept save for Mitchell Wiggins drug issues back in the day.
All three of these prospects really stack up well in every category save for their one weakness apiece that we keep debating.
