Well hopefully you start feeling good enough to get some gaming in and try to make the best of it.

I feel like 90% of the time the people asking where you think you got it from know they gave it to you, and they just want to know if you know. or they want you to absolve them by defining some other source. "Oh, probably got it in my weekly Covid Bath." Whew! Thank god he doesn't know.

My friend who most definitely gave it to me acted so perplexed when I told him I was positive. He actually didn't go get tested until I told him my results, and of course he came back positive, and at that point he toed the line of implying I passed it to him. Maybe it's my fault for being around the guy when I knew he had a close contact (several times with the same infected person). Of course he remained asymptomatic while I was hurting.

That is my biggest takeaway from Covidland. People are even more selfish and stupid as a whole than I had ever thought possible. There are far too many people that can't grasp that their idiocy is hurting other people.

Literally the only silver lining is since they both are negative (for now, but thankfully), I can just sit in the guest room and game and watch sports.

Hang in there man. Good to hear you're starting to feel better, but sounds like it's been rough. Isolating with games and sports is a nice silver lining! :)

Maybe you guys did get it from those people, but honestly it is probably better for your mental health to let it go. Maybe you have been lucky to quarantine, but honestly I would have no idea where I got it from. My toddler was in day care and sent home last week with a bug. Didn't get tested since fine and was the weekend at that point. Almost same time but unbeknownst his daycare teacher got it and just got her results back and had called in sick. Did my kid give it to her? If so, who gave it to my kid? Or did the teacher give it to my kid? Did I give it to my kid after the bucks game? Wtf knows. It's pretty much every where right now and there is no way to know for sure unless that was absolutely the only person you saw. It could've been an asymptomatic coworker instead. At this point, most people are bound to get it. Just do the best you can to protect yourself and others and move on.

Had a co worker upset with me that I returned to work today after quarantining because I didn’t do a rapid test before coming (work didn’t require it and asked me to come in since it had been 5 days since symptoms). I also only have one rapid test left and at least around where I am in milwaukee, hard to find, so I was hesitant to use it.

Long story short, she basically demanded I do a rapid test there at work and because she had one, I did, and it was positive.

Now because I still haven’t got my pcr result yet, I don’t really have proof to my job I even had Covid (they don’t accept rapid tests).

So, anyways, I’m calling in tomorrow because I truly just didn’t feel right today, physically and mentally, and because it’s just easier than to deal with the pissed off co worker.

I totally get where she’s coming from and hell I could maybe see myself feeling similar in her shoes, but I felt I was in between a rock and a hard place with work telling me come in and not even being able to prove to them I have/had
Covid. I guess I feel really bad now that I came in, honestly.

Be curious to hear your guy’s thoughts

When you see her I would thank her for the test and apologise. Its not so much that you did something wrong it's more the apology is your acknowledgment that she did the right thing.

If you have a decent relationship with her you could try explaining how you felt a little more, that you felt pressured to return. If not just leave it at that.

But you shouldn't beat yourself up about this. So much of what's going on around the world requires an immense amount of personal self assessment and responsibility that we are inevitably going to make slight errors in judgment. This **** hard, and it isn't your fault.

Developed symptoms last week Thursday. Quarantined through Wednesday

ETA: didn’t really have symptoms Monday-Wednesday. Today didn’t really either, just felt off and still feel off. It’s hard to describe

I'm confused. Did you take a test once you first had symptoms?

For everyone looking for at-home tests, if feasible, I recommend hopping in the car and driving to rural areas. We were in northern Minnesota near Brainerd for vacation awhile ago and the small-towny grocery store had them, along with a drug store.

Anyways, here's my uneventful COVID story:
Had muscle aches and night sweats a few weeks ago, took an at-home test and was positive. Laid in bed for a couple of days while alternating between ibuprofen and DayQuil. Was back to normal after Day 3, which is when my 4-year old tested positive. Alternated between giving him Tylenol and ibuprofen for 2 days because he said he didn't feel good, but he wasn't bedridden. He played with his Legos and Transformers, and watched TV. We both got PCR tests confirming the positives, and the next day my 1 year-old daughter tested positive. She was asymptomatic. Wife never got it.

I assume we had Omicron because we never lost our taste. If you would've told me beforehand that we could get natural immunity by going though it, I would've signed up.

Don’t worry I won’t be holding grudges. I’ve moved on now and all I want is to feel normal. Slight improvement today. I’d say I was 20% Mon-Wed, 40% yesterday, 60% today. What’s worst is the back pain now. It’s unbearable and it’s either from my guest room bed or Covid haha

I took a test on Saturday but started getting a scratchy throat that Thursday.

She’s not upset with that. She’s upset I went back to work yesterday without taking another at home test. When I went back yesterday, it was 7 days after the onset of my symptoms and work said to come back since the cdc changed their quarantine guidelines (and I was symptom free, just don’t feel like myself). Hope that makes sense

If the boss man was telling you to come back, you followed cdc guidance, and you were truly feeling back to normal...you didn't do anything wrong. I doubt I would have done anything differently.

If work told you to come in, then that's all on them. Especially if they were really pushing for you to come in. Her coming to you and demanding you take a rapid test could honestly be brought to HR as some type of harassment or invasion of privacy imo if you really wanted to go there.

Yeah I don’t wanna go there. Mainly just venting and frustrated. I’m super Covid conscious as it is, so I was taken aback by her.

The pcr result I was waiting for? Got an email they weren’t able to process my result and to get retested lol
