Re: OT: Video Games/Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos
Any of you guys give The Finals a go yet? I didn't think it would be for me but man, I haven't had this much fun in a FPS (excluding Siege which isn't really the same vibe at all) in a long, long time. Feels kinda like Apex Legends but with objective-based modes instead of Battle Royale and the destructible maps from Battlefield Bad Company. Completely free too. I'm kinda blown away.

One of the best games of the year IMO.
The gameplay itself is excellent, but I'm such a gear-nut that I was turned off by how bare bones non-gun equipment was. It is one of the souls-likes I am able to look past or adjust to and enjoy, though.

The Sony version that promises no drift is $200. Complete joke.
Only a sony issue, Xbox has such a superior controller IMO.

I've had about five Xbox controllers since I got my X.
I do like the Elite 2 controller since I finally picked it up, though.

Game Pass users: Robostory is fun. Borderlands style shooter with Hades/rouge-lite elements.

BG3
Finally researched a way to make a fully-player created party. 4 players starting from the beginning and can all be played by a single person (A buddy and I both created 2 each).
It's the feature I wanted most other than PVP team arenas.

This is how I feel about the entire discussion lol. Across the original Xbox, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS5, I've never had to replace a controller aside from one that I broke myself when I was experimenting with putting my own controller together and an Xbox 360 controller that my dog ate.
The only console I've ever had to replace a controller on was the Nintendo Switch.

Re: OT: Video Games/Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos
Random but slightly maddening. I never played the original Dragon Quest Builders but loved DQB2 a ton. I randomly installed the original since it was free. However, I couldn't stand more than five minutes because for some inexplicable reason you can't turn the terrible music down.
I suppose I could try playing Spotify on the console and then turn that down to see if it works...
Anyway, I'm far enough into Cyberpunk to where I think I'm going to start seeing Phantom Liberty content and I'm excite.

I don't think it matters. Handles just fine as a shooter on console IMO.

Looks like there's a demo on Steam, too, with smashing reviews. Will check it out this weekend.

ReasonablySober wrote:Has anyone here who's played Cyberpunk from the beginning and from Phantom Liberty give an opinion on whether it's better to start from the beginning or from PL? I finished it when it came out. Played a lot of it last summer over again. Now I installed PL and they recommend starting over. I like the game a lot so if I have to I'll do it, but I'm wondering if there's really any reason to instead of just jumping into into PL content.
I started over and got maybe 3/4 of the way through the main campaign before starting Phantom Liberty. It really is a great time. Playing out like a 90s action spy thriller that they don't make anymore.

Re: OT: Video Games/Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos
I picked up my BG3 save after almost 4(!!!) months of not playing it (last save was something like August 30th or a few days into September). I need to just tune out the noise of the half dozen other games grasping for my attention to just enjoy it to completion.
