For those who missed it, TNT had a Crowder update. He's cleared for 5 on 5, which he'll do Sunday. And could potentially return a week after that. So the Kings game maybe.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I still hope THT is a target. Pat + Livingston matches up perfectly. Danny loves Pat

Try to win in the playoffs with Heurter? Not happening.

I don’t think those 3 going out are helping in the playoffs either at this point. Mitchell is the point of attack defender we need. This is the last season we can aggregate salaries with the new cap rules coming next year. Huerter at 17 and 18 million is more useful than Bobby and Pat individually going forward. I’d prefer to get a guy like THT, but I’m not sure we have a competitive offer with how bad Bobby and Pat have been and the length of their contracts. I don’t think they have any shot at Caruso.

Horst needs to pick a direction. Will he support Griffin to the end? I can respect that. But he needs to trade Brook. It looks weird but trading our DPOTY candidate is the only chance for Griffin's Milwaukee to play some D that actually makes sense.

At this point we have Brook at the drop just because it was painfull watching him defending out of the paint in the beggining of the season. And four other guys trying to be active without of course the Raps' teams success due to lack of athleticism and youth.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer firing Grif and keeping Brook. All I'm saying is that if Griffin stays we definetely need to explore the market with whatever value Brook holds. Probably in three way deals.

There's just no way around the fact that Griffin has to go, even with perfect personnel Griffin would probably struggle since he clearly doesn't know wtf he's doing and lacks a real basketball mind. He's not putting his players in position to succeed, not even the guys who should be more his style. Would another AJJ and Marjon fix the team? I really doubt it. You can't fix stupid.

Hadn’t seen that SAS clip. He’s calling for Grief to be canned. Ouch.

Commentary really gets interesting at the 8:10 mark. Some pretty blunt remarks by everyone involved.

The last couple LOB pods have had quite the somber tone as well. Not gonna speak for anyone, but Frank seemed like he was trying his absolute best not to have the words "the defense is a lost cause and it's a coaching issue" slip out of his mouth. Justin Garcia did an entire pod breaking down the defensive problems and how literally nothing is showing signs of improvement.

Really kind of stunning to think about it. This team is 25-10, yet the amount of pessimism we're seeing from some of the more criticism-averse local media outlets is incredibly telling. Griffin is just so visibly not qualified in every aspect here. The only thing you can hope for at this point is a front-office and/or players intervention to tell him flat out "change the way we're defending because this **** clearly isn't working and never will"...

I still don't think there is a coach that can make this defense much above adequate with this personal, but if guys liks SAS are killing Griff than there is probably something behind the scenes that is a problem that he has heard about. Roster definitely needs a shaekup and I'm sure Horst is working on it. Either way it's all very weird, but I'm going to enjoy Giannis' greatness and the 25-10 record.

Bud wasn't the answer anymore, but I don't think Griff can handle this either. It's just too big of a job for a first time head coach.

No matter what I don't think we can beat Boston with Brook on this roster anymore. He just can't hang with these space ball teams anymore and his early 3 pointers are an anchor to our offense. To win a title we probably have to play Giannis at the 5 a lot or add a more switchable big next to him like....Draymond. I love Brook and enjoy watching him play, but if the goal is the title I think that is what we have to do in today's NBA

I'm being won over to getting rid of Griffin, but the next ten or so games will be decisive. The clarity on what Griffin is trying to do is evident. He's doing a great job in guarding the threes and everything else is abysmal.

He needs to realize that he has no guards who can stop penetration and that includes AJJ. Add to that he has them way out on the court and it makes it even a worse defense.

I know that Horst is big on stats, so he has to be having these conversations with Griffin. San Antonio is 29th in offense and even they shot 50% for most of the game. This has to be addressed.

Idk I’d think the combo of Giannis and Brook alone under a coach who knows what he’s doing could get us to at least a less pathetic defense.

Yes we still need perimeter defenders but we should be able to guard the paint.

Definitely agree that behind the scenes stuff is probably happening either way and being discussed off the record.

Brook just isn't the same dude he was last year (that's ok he was amazing last year) and it seems to me the league has spaced out even more so this year making his job that much more difficult. Giannis is Giannis, but the rest of this roster that flipped over was all heavy offense and **** defense. We went from Wes, Jrue, Jevon and Grayson to Dame, Beasley, Payne and Mids. 4 good solid defenders to 4 awful defenders. This shouldn't be all that surprising. Ingles would be our best veteran wing defender. Bad defenders are bad defenders especially when a lot or our elite ones have declined a tad.

Also I think we built this roster with the idea that Jrue would be on it. The Dame stuff happened so late I do wonder if the FO was pressured by Giannis to pull the trigger knowing that this would be an uphill battle defensively with such awful defenders until contracts were able to be traded.....Jan 15th is close and we are 25-10. We are surviving right now.

Attributing jedi-mind-trick 3PT "defense" to any coaching staff/scheme will never not be funny to me. You've got the smartest coaches and schemes out here realizing that it's a fruitless endeavor to try and manipulate 3PT variance. Meanwhile, our galaxy brain coaching staff has built an entire, disastrous defensive philosophy around that very principle lol.
