Some rough framework
FVV, Eason for Dame
McCollum, Herb Jones for Dame

Those salaries get you in the range to deal and gives you PG sized SG that I think would work well with our team. I think something like that could work

I don't want to see McCollum anywhere near this team. I'd do something like the first option for Eason and FVV if I know we are keeping KPJ as well.

Rollins
KPJ
Eason
Giannis
Brook

Would absolutely locker dudes, while

Rollins
KPJ
Green
Eason
Giannis

Would probably be our best lineup. I’d be pretty damn worried about that offense, though.

Positive or negative I always find these nba.com defended by stats pretty wonky.

I’ll always remember that one tweet about Marjon being a “Top-10” wing defender the first month of his career cuz defensive FG% allowed lol.

Didn’t Dre also have a really good DFG% through the first half of this year?

I thought I remember it being referenced quite a bit when we played the thunder in the cup final. His is a little more believable, at least.

I'd be curious about this, too. Sacramento makes a lot of sense for Lauri, but so does Milwaukee. But Utah doesn't make sense for Dame or LaVine, so it needs another team. I could see LaVine being nice for Milwaukee, especially if they can return another rotation player.

Marjon was good at defending, until it was time to maneuver around a screen. Defensive fg% isn't going to factor that in. But d-rating is. Good thing Green is #1 on the Bucks for 2 yrs. That's not an NBA.com exclusive stat. You can't argue w/ it at this point he's a plus-defender.

Is there any interest from the Bucks to send Dame back to Portland?

The Blazers could probably do a combination of deals that expire after next season like: Anfernee Simons, Deandre Ayton, etc.

If you want to dump Kuzma, we could add in Jerami Grant.

I wanted the Pacers not because I believe we have a better chance against them as I feel the Knicks and Pacers are on a similar level.

I just wanted Giannis to get a chance vs Indy in the playoffs....shame it will be without Dame. Hopefully KPJ and others can continue to play well (or better) and we can win this series.

What's the plan for keeping KPJ?

My thought is Utah would be compensated for taking LaVine, possibly rehabilitate his value and flip him later. But get that he might get in the way too much to make it worthwhile.

whether he opts in for his player option, thinking we will give him an extension under the early bird, or he opts out but takes like half of the MLE, or the full MLE, or another team swoops in and offers him like 20M per, nothing would surprise me. I have no idea how to read this situation, i just know i'm rock hard for KPJ highlights.

Clear space, just in case he's getting higher offers he'll consider. There's no point in risking losing him at this point. It's a positive environment for him & he fits in.

Brook's contract expires, so get him to take a discount if he's not retiring or let him walk. That's 23 mil off the books.

I want Brook to retire a Buck but he's definitely at the end of his career. You need to allocate money to the future as well.

Maybe Bobby leaves for a starting role, after being put on the trading block & feeling slighted.

I think his value is probably as rehabilitated as it will get? I imagine some team will give filler and a first or two, or something mildly interesting. Not sure how to balance it all, but maybe there is something there. It's at least an interesting place to start from.

Hmm. That’s interesting. I’ve been desperately searching for wings in a hypothetical Dame trade, and completely missed that Lauri functions more like a wing than a big.

He’s athletic, a movement shooter, a capable finisher, and can handle and create his own looks.

If Giannis continues to play with his recent pg mentality, it could be a pretty lethal pairing. All the current brook plays would be there, spot ups and seal and finish, but if the ball got to Lauri with no space he could capably create for himself. And that’s before considering what he really can do on-ball.

Love dudes who bring it in FIBA.

How would you feel about the defense?

Quick watching some defensive highlights from 23, and he seems mostly fine on an island on the perimeter. I just don’t know how reliable he is there.

I’m not sure I’d prefer this route to just acquiring cam Johnson while keeping Dame, though. Cam’s by no means Lauri, but he’s an awesome shooter who translates that ability to the playoffs, and he’s a cerebral connector on offense.

Spoiler:
Anyone see that the India Times has odds on him becoming a non-Michigan-but-Pacific-Ocean-Laker next season? The fake rumors never stop.
