Yeah really the only MCU movie I actively disliked was Thor: Dark World, the one with the elf villain lol. Funny how they went from the worst one to arguably the best in Thor Ragnarok, Taika Waititi is great.

Haven't really been following the latest developments but interested to see how they adjust to the loss of massive stars like Iron Man/Cap/Black Widow (though I guess she's getting that prequel) and T'Challa as Black Panther (RIP). Fantastic Four I could see having the big time name value to replace the stars they're losing, hopefully they don't **** it up like the pre-MCU FF movies did.

Marvel seems to be doing the right thing in diversifying their outlets.

I do, unfortunately, see them eventually losing patience and creativity and rebooting a new MCU with the same characters recast. One nice thing if that’s the case is that with the different universes the comics offer, you can go in so many directions.

There’s a time and a place for almost any modality of entertainment. I have to say however that going back and watching this scene just always reminds me that I don’t believe there will ever be a bigger accomplishment in filmmaking than the MCU from beginning to end. When you consider the scale/expectations/money/passionate fan base, it’s actually insane that they pulled off a satisfying conclusion over the course of damn near 15 years. This is the crescendo.

I must not have any contact with hipster things because I'm completely unaware of any anti marvel backlash.

Crazy lol. At least there was some action tonight, the second half anyway. I've always liked Robert Patrick

Yeah, up til that part I was trying to keep my eyes open. That made me sit up in my chair a bit.

I thought you comic book fans loved playful banter?

Pretend I’m an evil bad guy, and you have a super suit, and there is punch fighting and explosions happening all around us. Then you wouldn’t have to be so defensive, because you would be in your favorite element.

How did your 8-year-old and 12-year-old like Soul?
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Well we all watched it together, because Im a father and its a family movie, and they did not really understand some of the deeper themes. They enjoyed the cat.

Also, you are acting like you have exposed me as some sort of hypocrite for watching a kid movie. But you are maybe missing my point. Which is that its ok to enjoy things made for children and adolescents when you have them.

Look man, like what you like. Im playing around. Marvel certainly doesnt need any validation from me.

Some films have no leads. That's not one of those films, however.

For all mankind is a pretty entertaining show. I hadn't even heard of it before stumbling across it on Apple+. Surprised this show hasn't gotten a little media shine.

I can't believe what WB did to Zack Snyder's Justice League. Why did they cut all of that stuff out?

I am so glad I watched Zack Snyder's cut

I didn't think it was bad, but I didn't think it was good either. Maybe super hero movies are only as good as the villain, and Steppenwolf is just very boring.

It's amazing how consistently bad all the DC movies have been. The first Wonder Woman was decent but the rest were god awful.
