The first buzzer beater since 2021!
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

That was a great game. Feel bad one had to lose.

BYU has that guy who turns 27 in September.

The fact that they don’t even have to sit out a year as they jump ship and I recently read that there’s something in the works for juco years to not count against eligibility either. One can only laugh at the completely broken, corrupt money making machine.

I basically swore off college sports last year because of NIL. Players absolutely deserve a piece of the pie, but the fact that it's basically unregulated means the haves just get to do what they were doing before in the open, and the have-nots are just **** even more. Add in ESPN's stakeholding in the SEC and it's just over.

I really really want to, but it's my favorite kind of sport when it's on and it's hard to break.

Anyways, March Madness y'all. MSU is in it with NMU right now.

Iowa State showing out in Milwaukee. Should’ve sent their asses to Denver to play a de facto road game. Not that I’m bitter or anything

tbf, that is more of a BYU thing than current day ncaa sports thing. Wasn't taysom hill like 25 or 26 when he joined the packers undrafted?

48 games over 4 days, mostly duds but a good finale.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Caleb Love is honestly so frustrating. When you see what he can do, to know he usually is shooting 35% has got to be infuriating for Arizona fans. It's not an altogether unique type of college guard, but he's got both extremes down pat.

This is why I think Oregon (and teams generally) should have gone for a 3 while Arizona wasn't fouling. Now that they've played the foul game and there's 5 seconds left, they're sending Oregon to the line. Quick 2s made more sense before teams wisened up to this tactic.

Isn't the BYU thing usually the Mormon mission losing them some years thing? Probably combined with some Covid stuff, maybe some redshirt stuff etc.

It used to be a 2 year mission, not sure if that's still the case.

I wish basketball(both the NBA & College) would change this. I hate the idea that fouling benefits the team committing the foul.

I'd recommend for anyone who hasn't been to a March Madness game to do so at least once in their life. Shame that the Ole Miss/Iowa State game wasn't competitive, but Illinois/Kentucky got louder than any event I've been to outside of Game 6 of the 2001 ECF.

It's the intersection of the two things plus an injury redshirt. He did a mission, then played three years starting in 2019-20 (which didn't end up counting against eligibility), then had a year off with a shoulder injury, then came back and played the last two years. 6 years at BYU with a late start.

Iowa (McCollum, Drake) and Minnesota (Medved, CSU) both made really solid, home-state hires.

My brother, a Minnesota alum, is very happy with the Medved hire. I think my Virginia Cavaliers did a good job with Odom, too (kind of in-state: Dave Odom was an assistant at Virginia in the 80's, so Ryan was around the program as a kid. Plus, he came from VCU). A top-50 recruit who de-committed from Virginia after Bennett left just re-committed this weekend.
