I think we have to win Sunday now and hope the Magic beat the Heat in the play in. If we lose Sunday there are too many scenarios where we end up playing the 76ers.

they are not going to beat Miami in an elimination game unless Miami just can't hit a shot for some reason.

the harsh reality is that we could lose to really anyone except for Orlando if Giannis isn't back and playing at near optimum levels.

sucks

If Milwaukee loses and the Cavs and NY win the first round matchup will be Milwaukee and Orlando.

The Milwaukee-Orlando game figures to be the biggest in the Eastern Conference on Sunday. If the Magic win, they will finish fifth in the Eastern Conference, having won the Southeast Division. If they lose, they would fall to eighth if the Heat beat the Raptors. The Bucks need that game to guarantee they finish second. If they lose and the New York Knicks beat the Chicago Bulls, the Knicks would finish second and the Bucks would risk falling as low as fourth if the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Charlotte Hornets.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah this is the ideal scenario. We lose, drop to 4 and play Magic who would be gauranteed #5. But if NY and Cle lose we stay 2. If one of them wins and one loses we drop to 3.

4th means Celtics round 2 but more importantly it gives us Magic round 1 which I think is by far our best matchup, especially without knowing how much Giannis will play.

I can't get hyped to win in round one just to lose in round two. I'll still watch, though. Maybe.

I'd prefer to play the Celtics in round 2. I want to be the team that knocks them out, and I can't see those absolute frauds lasting until round 3.

I am fine with the 4th seed. If we win in the 1st round just rip band aid off and get the Boston series over with.

Orlando is not guaranteed 5 if they win. If Indiana loses and the Sixers win, the Sixers are the 5 seed and play Milwaukee in the first round (assuming that both NYK and CLE win).

Oh yeah forgot about the weird if its 3 way tie its division record but the Sixers have the h2h against the Magic. There are so many scenarios where we end up facing 76ers or Heat, sucks.

Is Milwaukee/Orlando the only game in the East that both teams (probably) have an incentive to win? Maybe a few of the underdogs will try anyway.

That's a good easy to understand chart. Yes our game is the only East game where both teams have something to play for. Pacers and Knicks should roll, Hawks and Bulls will rest guys, getting ready for their matchup on Wednesday.

Unlike some on here, I think teams should think strategically in regard to matchups, if they have control of it.

Matching up with Orlando in the first round would be extremely beneficial, if Giannis is hurting.

Avoiding a 76ers, Knicks and Celtics draw to get to the Finals would also be a priority.

But it's unlikely that anyone on here or on the Bucks thinks that way. But you all should.

Luckily for those of you who don't want to play the Sixers, unless the Pacers lose at home to the Hawks, it's extremely unlikely we will play the Sixers regardless if we win or lose tomorrow.

I use the site playoff predictors, here's a link for anyone who wants to try it. It's basically like ESPN's NFL playoff machine but for the NBA.

https://playoffpredictors.com/Basketball/NBA?L=IwhMIzw1vfpmLZTZ1c+qGZTyNXKORJLGMzQ0ndMdRWi+iy4+3LyhkmLKgWzCBwkYxT4iGEqQSSphIm04NV5Ji2zUZkoRk7yNeHTI16124gV6HuafnnwSp6xuzJN1sq2z8udJQFgk3clV1EuMQMqd3kJFW1+CJFjRWpzBRYnPS97ckiABmKS0rLQy3YM1zkqi2y1IP9NGtsMxwcC1nrnDxp0+KiFKMb4xqdwz07k6xsVDvbWDtz5nhNw3jWLFqT-ZVjYrSXpyKNQrLlUveO+VdEm21VQUqA

If we lose we most likely play Orlando in the #4 vs #5.

If we win we most likley play the winner of the play-in between the Heat and Magic.

The fact that we play Orlando head to head does a lot to help us control our match-up and makes it almost impossible for us to play Philly. Multiple unlikely things would have to happen for us to play Philly, not saying those things can't happen but it's unlikely.

No problem.

I don't know if the Bucks did it on purpose (I don't think that they actually did), but if we end up playing Orlando, losing all those games to bad teams down the stretch might end up being a blessing.

In my opinion, I think Orlando is a team we could beat in a 7 games series even if Giannis didn't play a single game. With Giannis I would have almost no fear of Orlando.

Miami, Philly with Embiid or Indiana and I think we would pretty much be toast, even with Giannis available.

IMO, the #4 seed might be our only road to the Finals.

If you tell me right now our road would be Orlando/Boston/NY, I would actually like our chances. I think NY makes it to the ECF in the bottom half of the bracket.

Miami and Indiana are the teams that terrify me.

Philly terrifies me in the 1st round. But I think if we are the #4 seed and if (Big if) we ended up playing Philly in the ECF with the HCA in our favor, I would like our chances more than if we faced them in round 1. I think at that point if the Bucks made it to the ECF they would have a ton more confidence and rhythm going than they do now going into the first round. Plus by then Embiid would probably be banged up, he's fresh as ever right now.

Unlikely both the Bucks and Sixers make it to the ECF, just saying that Philly is a team that would scare me less if we faced them later in the playoffs.

Atlanta does in an indirect way. If Atlanta wins it likely means there opponent should they beat Chicago will be a little easier.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
