Soccer has already ran into problems with their players and coaches Remaining quarantined and they just came back. This just seems like a time bomb for the league.

Two players tested positive before a game, so their whole team had to be quarantined, and the match put off for some time. A different one where a club’s manager left the hotel to get toothpaste, no mask, and wasn’t supposed to leave, so he can’t be with the team until two negative tests. Both of these are in Germany. I may have the stories a bit off (I’m doing this from memory), but that’s the general idea.

Now that you mention it I do remember the one manager going out, but he had a mask. That definitely muddies the water, but the Disney Land concept seems promising as they'll be localized.

Last Week tonight had a pessimistic show on it this week. Stuff like coaches leaving to get tooth paste. It seemed overly doom and gloom for my taste and trying to make big corps appear evil.
I'm on the optimistic side of the fence. Every day that passes it seems like the US 7 day average and new cases/death is getting lower. This is with lock-down restrictions being loosened and with testing doubling every 2 months. We are flirting with 400k tests a day now and hopefully will be closer to 600k by end of June at this rate. https://covidtracking.com/data/us-daily
I can get having no fans, but it will hopefully seem silly we even debated this in 2.5 months on whether its safe for players to be in a bubble playing basketball while getting tested every day when you have the average person returning to work, city buses, flying, restaurants, etc* We are starting to understand the virus and how to mitigate after 3 months over here. We will have even more insight come August.
*Not like it was before but it won't be outlandish to say I ate at a restaurant this afternoon or I rode the trolley downtown.

Smaller leagues have had both staff and players test positive after initial tests as well.

This is the argument I don't get. Jordan was an unbelievable player and there are many accolades to list when discussing his greatness. He would absolutely excel in today's NBA. But why do some people judge individuals based on rings in a team sport? Jordan is like Bill Russell. An all time great who was surrounded by elite talent which allowed him to win a bunch of rings. If Jordan were on a team like the Mavericks his entire career, he wouldn't have any rings. Would the people who cite Jordan's rings as a testament to his greatness think less of him if he played on another team?

He forgot it in the Hotel and came back with a mask. Still the **** he got is kind of silly.

I will say the return to regular season seems a little greedy. Work out a deal with ESPN saying we can either do meaningless games to get to 70, or we can renegotiate a compromise (Play-in games?) Don't see the point of bringing all-teams in besides the money.

Just be quiet until we know one way or another. Can't wait for you to be wrong. If you're right, no one needs to hear about it every other day, especially in the clown way you are doing it.
EDIT: And just billowing smoke that there WILL be a season yet you're acting like you're some top secret insider who will be proven right. Your reason for all this talk of starting season is what...keep the country's hopes up? Like words sustain us but they'll pull the rug out at the last second so we have a few weeks of good vibe talks of starting?

These are the same people who think losing earlier in the playoffs is better than losing in the finals. They are ignorant.

Don't know if Chuck is just being pessimistic but hard to see the league not at least try to get going in someway. Will be up to the players to not **** up.
Have liked the idea of the disney world bubble since that Keith dude tweeted about it a month or so ago.

wait, so it's more difficult to win if you don't have another top 5 player on your team. Hmm, seems that's a notch for LBJ then huh
