2030 is a pick swap. Do you mean the '31 Suns pick that turned into a bunch of junk first rounders?
3 "junk first rounders" (0, 2, 4 years from now) is still good value for what could also end up being a "junk first rounder" 6 years from now
Regardless of whether you think those are junk first rounders or not, it's still an outlier deal. How many other trades happen where primary (only?) asset is a draft pick six years down the road?
No one is saying it's going to net us a star, but your original comment made you pooh poohed any idea that an unprotected first could be valuable. I get "valuable" is relative, but there are a lot of GMs betting the Bucks are going to suck ass in six years. Even if they never plan on keeping the pick and at the bare minimum, it is still something thing they have to throw in trades the next two years as just 'a future first". On the other hand, if Giannis gets injured, declines or asks or in the next 1-3 years that pick will be one the more valuable trade assets outside of a bottom five team (and those teams don't usually trade their pick as they are rebuilding)
