That should get quite a lot of play at home games.

I liked the Giannis short film on prime. It was a nice introspective in being a dual culture person, something myself and my kids can appreciate.

It felt like a poem turned into a short film. Good stuff.

I'll have to check it out, as I am also in the same boat being a child of immigrants.

Giannis #1 on both ESPN and CBS’ player rankings. I know we all already know this and it’s just a new normal, but its not just us saying it anymore. The Bucks have the consensus best player in the world. Enjoy this **** my dudes

They're 2-3 years late but it's become pretty tough to deny The Giannis Era.

I would be concerned if Giannis was actually in that proximity to the Kardashians

When he says how much joy he got from 2 MVPs. And then says "bringing a championship to this city was times 20,000" Giannis why you make me cry again. I can't love you more than this. HE'S SO SPECIAL I CAN'T GET OVER IT.

I was trying to work out what he needs to prove that he deserves in some of the all time conversations, and I think it really is now longevity. People might bag him for not shooting well enough but in the end his HOF numbers will show that he hit over 1000 threes.

For like, 3-5 year peaks, it's basically him, Lebron, Duncan, Curry, and Shaq in the post-Jordan era. Longevity is overrated. He's clearly already above dudes like Stockton and Malone who are basically the longevity gold standards.

His five-year peak is GOAT-tier so far. Also, he's the first player in NBA history to have four (or more) seasons of at least 20-10-5+ averages (ahead of Oscar at three), and the only player to maintain those averages for four consecutive seasons. Only reason why it's not five in a row is because in 2018 he was 27-11-4.8 assists or something. I think he's also the first player since Jordan (?) to be named unanimous All-NBA first team as well as first team All-Defense four years in a row (though I'm not sure if Duncan or KG fit in there somewhere). If we simply copy and paste these last 4-5 seasons and he makes, say, five more first-teams (w/defensive) he's probably a shoe-in for Top 15 all-time at worst. Throw in another MVP (or two) and Finals MVP and it's a lock.

I'm not a big rings guy*, but there is a big difference between 1 ring and multiple. Guys may luck into 1 ring or may have got unlucky missing a 3rd ring, but guys who have been holding the trophy multiple times are on a different level IMO.

Agree with everything else you said.

*I think guys like Kobe are a little overrated getting 3 rings with Shaq, AD with LBJ, or LBJ in general-from a rings standpoint.

As of last year Hoopshype (who I think did a good job and like their format), had him 24. But there are a lot of guys on there for longevity and I'm not sure Giannis will pass them on lists (Dirk #6 for scoring, Oscar #7 in assists-13in scoring, etc)
I think it basically comes down to getting a 2nd ring or 3rd MVP to be a lock to be Top 15:
Oscar
KD
KMalone
MMalone
KG
Jerry
(Probably won't pass Curry IMO)
Dirk
Dr J
Elgin
Wade (This one is the opposite where Wade has the rings and other heavy hardware, but low on counting stats)
Drob (Honestly would have him above some other guys on the list)

It honestly would be disappointing if he isn't a consensus Top 15 player all time as Buck. With a ring/MVP (and doesn't let KD get another ring) he should be #13 in 5 years.

I'd be stunned if he doesn't win another MVP. Going into his age-28 season with still probably at least a half decade of prime years left, it'd have to be some pretty extreme contrarian narrative group-think amongst the media and voters to deny him another trophy before his career is done. Even once he reaches his mid-30's, I think he's gonna be a Duncan/KG level defensive anchor and rack up another DPOTY or two.

One to two more rings and an MVP on the way and he leapfrogs Dirk, KG, Malone, Wade and Dr. J and we're talking about one of the ten greatest ever.
