Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
It’s really simple…. Trade Bobby and Pat for the best guard/forward combination that prioritizes defense and doesn’t kill the offense. Boom. Problem solved. Just don’t ask who those players are, I have zero clue. You’re welcome.

Brook would be an awesome get for Oklahoma to take some pressure of Chet's body in his two first seasons in the NBA. Brook for Bertans and HOU 2024 FRP (currently #15) makes sense IMO. What can you buy with that pick?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Memphis was interested in him. They’re trying to contend, and their big is out for the season.

Any trade with B. Lopez has to include R. Lopez otherwise forget it.

Brook can easily be dealt for serious value. Contenders want someone who can hang with Embiid and Jokic, while guarding the rim and spacing the floor.
The person you need to ask about this is Giannis. Dude does NOT want to play center and bang all day down low. And by forcing him to do that, you’re taking away his energy that he needs to put towards the offense.
We had a top five defense, that only needed a PJ Tucker for small ball in certain matchups. Grief has flushed that all down the drain. That’s not on Brook.

Thats right, Griff traded Jrue after accepting a job coaching a roster known for the POA defensive prowess of Wes, Carter, Jrue. Say what you want . .paulpressey25 wrote:TroyD92 wrote:I can envision a market for Bobby and even Pat to a much smaller extent, but Brook is such a niche player. Their record is not equating to their current level of performance.
We are nearly to the halfway point of the season and your expectation improvement is well noted, but where, oh where, is your proof of it?
My crystal ball is in for repairs. I have no proof. But citing trailing stats is the opposite of predictive as well. And that ultimately is my point. We know what this team is now, and the stats you cite are useful in painting that picture, but nobody knows what this team will be. That being the case, what reasonable assumptions can be made about the future?
So, because you said so is your reasoning.
The journey they've made over the past 5 months has shown that they are still pressuring the ball 40 feet from the basket, going over screens against non-shooters and completely ignoring basic NBA defensive premises, like cheating a 3rd player from the weak side into the lane to defend the pick and roll.
That those three things have not been corrected is coaching malpractice as they are already engrained into veteran NBA players and are really, really easy fixes.
The fact that Giannis sits out of the play, face up on a guy in the corner on defense more often than not is something that Griff has told him to do.
Allowing teams to take what might be the single best roving defender in NBA history out of the play by putting his guy in the corner is coaching malpractice.
But hey, I'm sure they'll magically change all these things because you say so.
I didn’t say so. What I’m saying like a mutual fund ad is past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Invest wisely, and be careful shorting this team.

Im down with trading Brook if it makes the team better but I don’t think us staying small or Giannis at the 5 lineups from now on is going to work. The recipe for success in the modern nba has been being able to have a good big lineup and a good small one(until Jokic came along but that’s different).

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
The Kings have been calling opposing front offices to gauge the value of packaging Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Not exactly the youthful tandem that came back from New York, and Sacramento won’t consider moving sophomore sharpshooter Keegan Murray, sources said. But Sacramento has third-year guard Davion Mitchell available for trade, and the Kings hold future picks beyond this year’s first rounder owed to Atlanta to help facilitate any deal before next month’s deadline. Huerter, it should be noted, was recently moved to Mike Brown’s bench in exchange for Chris Duarte.
Still think Brook makes sense for them. Not really sure I want Barnes or Huerter though, Mitchell could be interesting.

Wishful thinking.
I do think one of their four young forwards will be moved eventually, though, since there’s a bit of positional overlap, and they’ve basically never tried having all four on the court together the past two seasons.
That feels like a big mistake. We've been cryin' for wings for a few years, we're old and getting older, and if we don't push the young guns with plenty of burn, we'll inevitably fall off a cliff sooner than later--and someone else will reap the best of these guys.

Just fire GrIff. Lineup a legit coach. And let him go.
Sit AG down & say sorry, but you're probably better off figuring this thing out with a rebuilding team.
Let the players show what they have with a real system before any moves.
So,... fire him tomorrow.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Horst just gave Brook a huge contract after one of the best seasons of his career.
I don’t think he chooses Grief over him.
The scheme is the problem it makes no sense especially for a team with Khris and Dame. Yes caveat that Horst still needs to make a post-Dame follow up move to shore up the defense in the backcourt.
But all the reasons other teams would want BroLo are the same as why we do too.

Shams now says Kings are out of Siakam sweepstakes (just a few hours after that other report lol).
I’m wondering how Sacramento would value Bobby.
Also what do we think about Davion Mitchell?
