Trading Brook would be a mistake. He can handle Embiid and others like him. Is a very skilled player. He looks vulnerable only because our guards who get blown by repeatedly allowthe opposing team to attack Brook repeatedly.

Any trade with B. Lopez has to include R. Lopez otherwise forget it.

Not that hard lol

You're involving Memphis in this debacle and the Bucks aren't even coming away with Stephen Adams? Throw Beauchamp for David Roddy on top and yeet the rest. Gotta stay young.

Feel free to add your own trade. Stephen Adams is out for the season anyways lol

In honor of Troy and Shooting the J, here is my attempt at a Brook deal

Bucks:
Out: Brook
In: Marcus Smart

OKC:
Out: Bertans, two firsts (whichever ones make the deal happen)
In: Lopez

MEM:
Out: Smart
In: Bertans, the two OKC picks

Follow it up with a Pat for PJ swap.

I’d actually do those two deals if was informed Grief wouldn’t be fired under any circumstances. And Giannis has to agree to play Keystone Cop at Center, and face two on ones at the rim all night.

Shooting well, on a minimum deal. i'd explore his market.

If you can't speak up to save your #1 player from getting himself in trouble, you might be liable to shrink in the playoffs.

And the defensive fit with Dame. This rubbed me the wrong way though.

Which have better odds of happening:

1) The Bucks trading any of the following: Brook, Bobby, PC, KM
2) Bucks getting rid of Griffin

I don't see any of the guys I listed being traded.

I could see Griffin being cut if the Bucks go on a losing streak. But they're too good for that to probably happen.

Personnel and coaching are both problems. I think coaching is the bigger problem and the most likely to change.

Why would we want Barnes and Heurter? That solves 0 of our problems. They both make 15M+ too. Makes 0 sense.

Dame played most of his career in a small backcourt next to McCollum.

Davion Mitchell could D up incomparably well though if we think he could slot him in as a starter.

One interesting part of these trade scenarios is it appears the Bucks (or someone else in a multi-team deal) could drop ~ $4 million in salary off on the Kings.

Mitchell + Len for Bobby works straight up if we wanted to go that route.

Mitchell is a career .312% 3p and .255% this year... We can't kill all the spacing that was created for Giannis that he is now thriving in. Any wing that can't shoot at least league average 3p% should not be in any trade scenario with us.

I was hoping for more from TyTy, but he's been pretty bad with the Herd this year. His %s are unsightly.

Roddy is laughably bad. Be relieved we don't have him. Marjon is significantly better.

Yup, and Barnes is awful now with a bloated contract.

Big fan of the idea of buying low on Davion.

I think there’s a balance here since we really need to fix the defense we killed.

That and Dame’s presence alone is such a constant 3-ball threat, and now we have Beasley and Middleton back too.

Either way I hadn’t realized Mitchell’s shooting was so weak though good flag there. This also comes into the equation with PJ scenarios as well.

Seems like Mitchell would round out a 3-guard rotation with Dame and Beasley to bring some desperately needed D.

We’d also acquire Davion’s bird rights and RFA status. Beasley says he bet on himself and gave up significant money to sign here last season but idk whether we get him for another year.

My favorite two-team trade for Brook right now is probably:

Mke: Smart, Tillman, Konchar
Mem: Brook

This is likely way too much value coming our way, but I could see memphis really interested in Brook. He’d replace Adams while giving them a better rim protector, and he’d be able to open up the runway for Ja more so than Adams ever did with his shooting. Brook would be a great fit there.

On the flip side, we’d get a very good perimeter defender in Smart, and then two depth pieces. Tillman is a damn good defender in his own right as an undersized big, and a pretty good connector on offense, although he struggles shooting. Konchar would likely function as a juiced up pat for us. He’s an awesome does-the-little-things player.

Memphis would likely be more interested in Bobby, because they need rebounding. JJJ provides three room protection. Also, Adams is under contract for next year, I doubt they want to pay him and Brook.

However, Smart is a fraud. He provides nothing.

I wonder if anybody is going to be available on the buyouts this year(we can still sign those guys right?) Picked up Jevon that way, got Dragic last year but could have had Pat Beverley. Wes was off the scrap heap too wasn't he? There has to be someone that plays D that's going to be available right? Maybe if we're lucky someone like Delon Wright gets bought out, doubtful PJ is with the extra year. Moving Beasley to the bench and replacing Payne would probably help our D at least a little bit, I might consider trading Beasley too if he has value since he's just a rental anyways altho I love his shooting. Jae will be back soon which should help a little bit, hopefully he doesn't take all of AJJ & Marjon's time as opposed to Pat/Bobby.
