Maybe the only way possible to make EAs reputation even worse.

Well EA may have let PGA Tour die, but maybe I'll get a new LIV game now.

Working through upgrades for my kid’s gaming PC, in the end going with a CPU/GPU combo of AMD Ryzen 5/7500 and nVidia RTX 5070 which will be more than solid at 1440, and fairly decent at 4K (I assume based on the games they play it will mostly be at 1440 or lower).

They’re going to need a new monitor, mainly just not sure on size- currently on a 24” and not sure on going to 27” or 32”, any thoughts either way? I could do with a new one myself so not too fussed in taking a risk with one size then deciding later it needs to change and I’ll just sit back on changing mine for a while and go with whatever.
I picked up a 34" curved Alienware model. I've been adverse to Alienware for a number of years, but I had my IT bro on the phone and told him the specs for the price and he said it was solid.

It's a great dimension for being able to have a couple things going on on one screen without feeling the urgency for a second monitor.

Games look great on it.

The New Zealand Xbox trick comes through again. Fired it up right before I had to go back to work. By the end of the night I'm gonna have my party of Derfel, Thomas, Nimue, Sagramore, and Arthur strong enough to kill God.

Just beat Silksong (not including the secret hardest boss, which I didn't run into). Overall I don't think it was incredibly difficult, although certainly harder than the original. However, there are definitely some incredibly tedious runbacks and annoying sections that for me make me prefer the first. Still a very solid game.

Haven't yet made it to the second story mission but have done an absolutely mind-numbing amount of grinding in Tactics and unlocked every class except the Arithmetician, Bard, Dancer, and Mime classes. I never use those anyway.

Now to find out if the hardest difficulty is really all that challenging.

Yeah, super excited. I've been itching to replay Tsushima and fighting off the urge so I was all ampted for Yotei. It sounds like 'Tsuhima but better' is the consensus. Personally I didn't need big changes, so I can't wait.

I liked Tsushima but didn't love it. I'm sure I'll play Yotei at some point but it's gonna be a while.

A couple nights in, and the new updated story with the voice acting is shockingly good. Just about up there with Claire Obscur, which I think is maybe the best ever. Worth the price alone.

If you have any interest in Game Pass Ultimate, you may want to buy a bunch of gift cards now. It's going up in price by 50% tomorrow. I picked up a year's worth.

Thought some may find this interesting. He talks to a lawyer who specialized in private equity buyout just to understand the business side of it.

Gamepass Ultimate going to $29.99 from $19.99 is booty, but totally expected. Even if they lose 25% of their base they still come out on top and they've certainly factored that in to their plans.

This week I bought some Emotiva towers, a center channel and some surrounds, and I just came home with a 65” Samsung S95F. I can’t wait to see the Brewers lose on a top of the line, glare proof screen with incredible surround sound.

Got home just in time to give Yotei about an hour before the Brewers start. The opening sequence is perfect - no notes. Game is also gorgeous. Can't wait to play more.

I did the first initial main story mission and have been doing nothing but side activities since
