Talk about a waisted roster spot keeping ajax wtf dude is garbage.TBH his D is way overated much rather of kept chris

What does Chris do better than any of the other offensive players? Chris is like a worse Cam Whittmore and Houston traded him for scraps. Ajax's defense maybe oveŕated but his defense is better than Chris.

Also, AJAX may still get cut.

Huh, I guess Coffey might make the team after all.

He could still get cut, but I think Doc likes being able to use Ajax in that smallball 4/5 break in case of emergency role. Seems like he got a ton of reps there in camp.

He's also shown in the past he could handle lead guards as a POA defender, but somewhere over the past year or so he lost that ability and just fouls on everything and doesn't have the same impact. Maybe they are hoping he can regain some of that back.

I sent out that warning bell about Liv... that preseason game he got in where he was kind of dogging it/jogging around like he just got a max deal and doesn't care... then on D he was letting guys dribble right through his hip.. plus you can't shoot? Your plan was to Kuz dribble into the NBA giants like it D league? Sorry bro

I would rather cut Smith especially with Bogo as an option in the future. AJax has his issues but if he ever starts to play with confidence he would be playable. The developmental team should make him study Gary Payton II tape. A taller GP that can guard 1-4 would be valuable.

This is interesting... feels like we need a defined offensive role for guys that can't really shoot but have some other skills Kuz, sims, ajax... screen and roll or draw and kick.. something to narrow down their options so they can be useful on O and help get us top 8 in D

This is about as false as can be.

Livingston improved his game every season and is still young. His problem is that he is decent in most aspects of the game, but outstanding at none.

I think the Rich Paul conjecture is probably right. Livingston is better than Marjon or Ajax. I would have given him one more year.

Let me know when Chris Livingston gets 47 starts, let alone 47 games played in a year. He literally improved nothing, and that’s why he’s been cut. He’s a G League guy. Again, even MarJon Beauchamp is going to end up with more minutes played in the big leagues than Chris. That does mean something…and it says a lot about Livingston as a prospect.

In 99% of situations I'd say it would be stupid and shortsighted to bail on a 20-year old prospect you picked with a Top-40 draft choice in favor of an older guy who I know has absolutely zero offensive upside. But man, Tyle Smith looks like he's nowhere near even a competent G-league caliber player, so I really don't care anymore. Just toss him on the pile with all the other wasted Horst draft picks.

I've never watched a single game of basketball, college, G-League, Preseason, or other, where I thought to myself "Chris Livingston looks like an NBA player." So yeah, this makes sense.

Damn, I thought Livingston really went above expectations from the recent summer league games and pre-season games (I watched them all). He lost weight and played confident. I agree with comment that Doc gets what he wants and he chose Coffey. He loves vets and he is insecure about his job lol. I wonder if Horst agrees with this?

Waive both AJax and Smith and pick up Dinwiddie?

i think the success rate of players drafted between 31 and 40 is less than 10%, maybe even less than 5. So...if anything Horat is great at 2nd rounders compared to most.

Its the late first round that has befuddled him.

yes, on paper he makes sense, but he doesn't fit what we are trying to build. I do believe that part of the goal right now heavily relies on fit and chemistry.
