Had heard on a recent podcast that they were the best organization in basketball.

Per Jimmy, they are also 'definitely **** winning the championship, quote (me)."

Cleveland has a lot of roster/talent overlap that have given them a little trouble early but when it works its pretty fun to watch.

From a condenter to a 1st round exit is a big gap especially without major changes in the off season.

Over the course of 4 days the Heat handing the Celtics their 2nd home loss of the season and the Pistons their 3rd road win of the season is definitely one of the stranger occurrences this season. I largely trust the Heat to right this ship during the regular season, I'm hoping for a Cavs-Heat 1st round series as I think that would be really interesting. But the 2nd round is probably this team's ceiling.

Do you think they'll be ready this year? As in ECF candidate kind of ready?

Read on Twitter
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

It's funny how they pretend an organization that gave major contracts to Duncan Robinson and Kyle Lowry is smart.

It's a giant hole they'll need to climb out of.

Giving out bad contracts is kind of their thing. Olynyk, James Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Hassan Whiteside, Dion Waiters...

They're pretty well locked up, they have committed to pay Bam, Butler, Hero and Duncan Robinson $140m a year until 2025/26

I think they're ready for a desperation move. Maybe Kyrie or something.

He's one of my favorite role players in the league. I would have loved him in Milwaukee.

Miami, Brooklyn and Philly all being relatively mediocre despite their talent is interesting. I am not complaining.

I think Miami is done and not worried about them. I think the Nets and Sixers end up 3-5 but both could be real tough out in the playoffs. Embiid, if healthy, is a MVP level player; KD has been MVP level and with 2 all-stars (BS was an allstar the previous 3 healthy seasons). I'm still putting money on us obviously, but I wouldnt be shocked if either team gets hot and beats us. This isn't like playing the Hawks in the ECF.

Cleveland is awesome when Jarrett Allen is healthy. They're mediocre when he's not. It was that way this year and was the same last year. That guy is invaluable to what they do.

Obviously some funk in the numbers this early in the season (with injuries as well) but Allen hasn't really been some cure-all to their issues. Their "star" lineup with Mitchell/Garland/Mobley/Allen for a 16-9 team is only a +1.15 net rating together which isn't really good at all. Mobley/Allen together on the court are only looking at a +2.12 net rating and Mitchel/Garland together are at +1.03. They kinda got some figuring out to do still, which is kinda scary.

Some good discussion on Cleveland but their biggest problem by far is Mobley tanking any lineups he's in (They're an astonishing +12.5 net-rating better with him off the floor). He can and probably still has a bright future, but he can't space the floor at all and it's looking like everyone jumped the gun on his defense too. Obviously Mobley's the much better asset, but it's pretty crazy to think how much better Cleveland would be if they had just kept Markannen and started him at the 4.

This is where Bill Simmons gets sidetracked with all the other media stuff he does. He told Russilo on their pod last night that Mobley was Cleveland's best player. He's still going off his hype on him from last year, and hasn't really dove into the team this season.
