Griffin coached under Skiles, Thibs, Billy Donovan and Nurse... I have no earthly idea what an Adrian Griffin coached-team would look like based on that resume.

Atkinson was probably my favorite of all of the assistants they talked to. But getting the 30-win caliber team to win 42 games is impressive, but its a fundamentally different job than taking a team that believes it has a championship-level roster to achieve that level. Not saying he can't do it, just saying that I don't know.

Nurse has always seemed like the most likely next coach. And I'd be surprised if a week from now he's not the coach.

It would be nice if they locked him up before the Boston job opened.

Many of you were upset when there were no early leaks about Nurse (STUPID HORST, STUPID BUCKS) but were wrong.

Many of you think all we have to do is pay Nurse a lot and he's a lock to come here. That's also wrong.

A little surprised Griffin made it to the final round over Lee/Quinn

Some of that Heat culture has to be Riley identifying those undrafted guys and bringing them in. Sure Quinn and Spoo are developing them, but I don’t think it instantly translates to the Bucks if Horst is still the GM and they keep give Wigginton feel good two way contracts instead of actually trying to find guys who might be able to become actual NBA players.

Maybe the new coach will runs plays for AJ Green to use his elite shooting, assuming Horst is smart enough to keep AJ.

Plausible Quinn's interview fell short and Griffin nailed his ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The question is are we still deciding between these 3 candidates or is Nurse our guy and we are waiting to hear from him on if he wants the job with Kenny & Griffin at the backup options

Well, the idea that Nurse is also this unimpeachable genius coaching messiah could also be wrong as well. And that's kind of the only thing I really care about. Getting the hire right. Horst is batting 1-for-1 on coaching hires so far, so whichever of those three ends up being the guy, I'll at least give him the benefit of the doubt.

Considering the Suns and Sixers may also go after him it makes sense to have a backup plan. We can debate which is the best situation but none of the teams is a slam dunk in that regard.

ETA as Ron said Horst could conclude that Nurse isn't the best fit. We aren't involved with the interviews.

Could end up hiring two of the three. Nurse + Griffin as the lead assistant.

I just hope whoever we choose, they aren’t allergic to playing young players. Not that young players always lead to winning, but in some instances I think good teams find ways to interject youth with their main core.

Atkinson seems even more of a stubborn non in-game coach than Budenholzer, don't get it other than contrarian choice. That's doubling down. Nurse is the only correct choice, always has been.
