Vecenie/Nehm probably don’t know sh*t

I can’t imagine we draft a guy who had a 42% TS in the Aussie league in the first round when we’re in win-now mode

Would be malpractice — he is two years away from being two years away

Only way it makes any sense if you draft and stash for salary reasons

Agree, they don't know anything. I believe the report that were holding on to 23 to draft a center a lot more than I believe this. Bucks have become really good at being quiet, I wouldn't be surprised if they're now involved in misinformation. Also wouldn't be surprised if their interest in Johnson is for a later 2nd we don't own yet.

I haven't followed these prospects as much as I have in past drafts, but that doesn't make me any less excited for it. Come on Horsty.

AJ feels like the kind of swing we like to take.

Striking out is right up our alley. Thats why we don't really have a really good young bench.

No, it's because we pick in the 20s at the earliest when we pick. Donte was only 2 first round picks ago.

Crossing my fingers for Holmes. I don't know anything about him other than that the mock-ups I've read, but the vibe I get is that he could be what Draymond was 10 years ago, with a little more shooting.

Whatever he does will be blamed on Doc when it doesn't work out.

I like Holmes but he is infinitely closer to Bobby than Draymond lol

do you have him confused with Dunn (or maybe Mogbo)? still a bad comp (comparing anyone to draymond always is), but it is closer

AJ Johnson was terrible in his last league and weighs 167 pounds.

Why not just take Cam Christie? Same length, better production, younger.

Is Horst terrible at drafting? (Assuming this happens)

they think Collier or Ware or Kopek are the most likely

Vecenie lives in Australia and nailed us taking MarJon two years ago. Very good chance he's atleast legitimately heard we like him

Again, just from what I've read, but he's long, willing to defend, and will block some shots. Not afraid to get physical. That's what brings Draymond to mind.
Hope springs eternal.... :)

“Johnson has experienced inconsistent minutes, a new role, underwhelming numbers, and the battle of one of the most physical leagues in the world. Despite all of that, I continue to be impressed with Johnson’s play and imagine that he’d easily be considered a first rounder, if not a lottery pick, if he instead decided to play for a college team.”

Would definitely be a swing for the fences

That sounds like Brandon Jennings.
