Really want DeAnthony Melton on the Bucks. Bud just has to teach him to shoot.

He’s working with Drew Hansen right now, one of the best in the biz

1. Robert Williams
2. Lonnie Walker

Others: Zhaire Smith, Kevin Huerter, De'Anthony Melton (buy 2nd maybe - doubt he'll fall), Khyri Thomas (buy 2nd)

Honestly, those are the only real players I've watched and could see filling some type of role on the Bucks. That being said I would hesitate to trade up to grab anyone in the top 16.

So many interesting prospects in our range, I'd say it will be hard to **** this up, but I present to you our ninth rated prospect from last year that we may have been trying to move up to get;

I’ve seen ZSmith mocked as high as #10 and Melton as high as #14

Honestly imo the depth in this draft is horrible, I think we will be lucky if a good player falls to us. I don’t get why everyone keeps saying that this is a deep draft. Once guys pull out I think you’ll be lucky to get 20 nba players out of this draft

My guess is people's estimation of Waiters would be different if he'd been taken at 17 instead of 4. This is basically just a shorthand for saying:

1) He's a guard who can seemingly do just about anything but chooses to mostly take jumpers,
2) He's got some pop as an athlete,
3) I like him a lot,
4) I'm skeptical about him and think he might have some ego-related pitfalls ahead of him if he lands in the wrong situation.

On that last point, I think going so high in the draft was the worst thing that could have happened to Waiters. If DiVincenzo's there at 17, which I wouldn't count on, we should absolutely consider him.

Interesting, most mocks I've seen have those two somewhere around the 14-22 mark. ZSmith I could see going high, I don't know if I could see Melton going #14 but I don't know much haha

I would be highly interested in trading down from this spot for two later 1sts or later 1st and lotto protected one next year. Hawks own picks 19 and 30. Pacers at 23 and Blazers at 24 may be good partners to swap with while obtaining next year's pick. Quite possible we are left out of the 1st round otherwise.

There's really nothing that intrigues me at 17 I don't think I couldn't get in those later spots. Kind of feels like a dead spot like the last two drafts. I've heard this view shared but with no solution. Other teams may feel differently. You exploit that.

I'd love to trade down with Atlanta and would even be happy with 19 and 34.

A good read, especially if you want to hop on the Jontay Porter hype train with me:

I would give them a couple million dollars extra just to keep the pick 4 spots higher to be able to say the Bucks had two 1st round picks for the first time in 25 years (Pacers the only other team who hasn't).

Yeah, I haven't done much research at all, but I guess my point is that there are lots of guys that should be in play at 17 that I'd like to add to this roster. At 17 if we ended up with Porter, Zhaire, Shamet, Divencenzo, Okobo, Khyri, Melton, Milton, Lonnie or even Brunson we are going to get a player that I will like (that list is in no particular order). And there are a host of other guys I haven't really dug in to other than reading the ringer draft guide and some poking around on nbadraftroom

Jevon Carter is another guy I'd be interested in bringing in with a late second or if he goes undrafted as a two way as well. That is not really related to your point though.

I feel the way about Porter as I did about Donovan Mitchell last year....Not saying I expect remotely similar results, but there is just some kind of gravity pulling me towards them (sadly it was Wade Baldwin the year before that, so take it for what it is worth, not much)

Draft based on bench spirit and willingness to live in Oshkosh. Can they twirl a towel, do they like to fish? Do they know the “raise the roof” hand gesture?
I admit to being a terrible judge of talent and having minimal knowledge of the game of basketball.

As to the 2012 draft. I still find it utterly hard to believe Satoransky, Crowder, Draymond, Midds, and Will Barton were taken in the 30's given how piss-poor that draft was after Drummond to finish Round 1. Just not a pretty draft.

So that article also tells me:

Playoff Thon is a very real thing. Huh.

Okogie is definitely an interesting player.
