Overblown, witch hunt stuff. The uuuushe. Nothing to see. Unless someone wants to attempt a legitimate argument that the organization (namely Jason Kidd) prioritizes "doing his boy Schwartz a solid" over improving the team... I mean I know thats what some are inferring, I'd just love to see it laid out in a real argument.

Middleton extension
Linked to Tyson Chandler
Linked to Rubio
Signed Mirza
Traded Ennis for Beasley

Maker is connected to I believe. Drafted way higher than slotted

Maker was 1000% a John Hammond pick, regardless of Thon's agent...I don't know that I have ever seen a grown man as excited and beaming as Hammond is when he thinks or talks about Thon.

And this is where we enter the "every good move was Hammond, every bad move Kidd" portion of the conversation. Even though Thon is an Excel client. And Schwartz is Kidd's boy.

I've got no need to play that game, because I'll happily argue which good moves and which bad moves each one made. But at the end of the day, I have no doubt Thon was Hammond's success or failure

Yea I'd never argue a grand conspiracy. It just might create familiarity and more exposure to particular players because that agent has our people's ear. Which can make them more comfortable picking or trading for. Even that might be too far, but I wouldn't go any further. Chances are it's all just coincidence

Thanks for the Schwartz info. Seems like I've been hearing it forever. Couldn't remember he was Kidds agent and that's where it started.

I have nearly no pride, so I'm willing to make this bet out of desperation for more pride. You'll be hearing from me in like 5 years when he makes an all-star team.

Sorry, Maker was 500% Hammond pick and 500% Fotis pick, I don't know that I have ever seen 2 grown men as excited and beaming as Hammond and Fotis are when they think or talk about Thon.

I remember a few months before the draft bringing Thon up here. not as a suggestion, just asking what the deal was that he was being slotted so low since previously being so highly rated. Basically I just didn't know his story at that point. If I remember correctly I was just thinking as a 2nd round flyer and I was remembering some AAU games on TV where he was really good on D and just running rim catch/dunking. I think most here ripped him and said they didn't want. I just kind of wrote him off at that point. Then the draft was coming and his name kept surfacing. Couldn't believe he rose all the way to 10th. But hey, I liked what I saw last year. hope he keeps getting better. Note: I didn't go back and check what I said or what was said, just best recollection.

I was part of many discussions about why we shouldn't draft him, glad to say it appears that he has proved me wrong or will have officially proved me wrong as soon as this year.

I was at the Bucks draft party talking to Paschke for like an hour and he was raving about two players the entire time, Thon and Brogdon (this was before the draft). It has since led me to thinking the draft is really held in secret a week before the draft, not really, but kind of.

What about a guy like Cam Oliver in the second? Seems like there is a lot of untapped potential with a guy like him
