A lottery ticket? We’re basically hoping Hood can be the Rudy Gay of the last few seasons at best right?
That'd be pretty alright for the min.

A dude that can step in and randomly score 15-20 while not sinking your team..that'll do

Props to your wife for recognizing JOB out of uniform, pretty sure I wouldn't have.

I should clarify, I would love to give her that credit, but she saw him and his name written somewhere and asked who it was. I thought it couldn't possibly be for playing on the team.

I haven't gotten to the time to think about how any of our acquisitions could fare this season yet, but Hood seems like a guy that could be a sniper playing with the spacing Giannis provides.

I had always thought he was a poor defender, but can't recall if I had a reason for thinking that or that I kind of labeled him that way in my mind because he didn't seem to be all that wanted anywhere as I recall.

One thing is certain, many guys will get a 'bump' playing along side Giannis. Smart management to take a few swings at who the next get to revive their career will be, especially when you are paying them min type contracts.

Corner 3s, I am going to throw out last year, it was terrible but if I look at the few years before that;

Rudy Gay has averaged just over 10ppg the last 4 years. So a guy that can come in and randomly put up 10-12 points while also not being a defensive stalwart. Basically I’m just hoping Hood still has a midrange game for when Mids isn’t on the floor.

And while averaging 10-12 points a game Gay has randomly given his team 15-20 points multiples times.

Semantics are fun. An effective veteran on a minimum deal is very valuable. Hood may be done but he is young enough and was good enough not that long ago that the move could pay off very well. Considering that the team doesn't need him to produce, it seems like a pretty good risk/lottery ticket to me.

Weird that the Bucks used to stream the open scrimmage and then just decided not to stream this year.

I'd much rather have used that roster spot on Frank Ntilikina, on the contract he got. Hood will be stuck behind Nwora, until we make a move to send Hood out.

I was at the scrimmage and Nwora looks like he’s been working on his body. He was moving a lot better than I’ve seen him and looked a little more defined. Hit some really difficult shots as well

He had a nice assist running the pick and roll at the end of a quarter.

He skips a step and just passes it into the rim for his teammates.

Hell, I'm impressed your wife recognized him.

I wouldn't recognize him.

Demanding that Nwora learn to pass is not altogether different from demanding Giannis learn to shoot 3s. He can't do it, work around it, strengthen the parts of his game that make him valuable.

He made 6 assists in that one summer league game. He is completely capable of passing it's more of a decision making skill he needs to work on.

Yea Nwora is one of the biggest chuckers I’ve ever seen and even though he’s probably already one of the better shooters in the league, I wouldn’t want him out there other than garbage minutes.

Nobody is demanding Nwora become a good or even average as a passer. Just learn to make better decisions with the ball. It was said in jest by Jrue of him learning to pass more, but it still rings true. He has a role on this team as a shooter and not trying to emulate a young Kobe.
