How would this board if the bucks did get the #1pick then traded down to #5 picked up another 1st rounder in lower teens n drafted that gordon kid from Arizona at 5 n the boards call at 19.
Would that b a fair deal.

wut?

Its a simple ques.Is the #1 pick worth #5 & #19

Not even close.

To drop from #1 to #5, you need at least an unprotected future #1, and a young prospect, and probably more.

Since we are judging guys on a game by game basis, Embiid really didn't do much to make me want to take him over Parker & Wiggins. He really should be doing more against the low quality level of big men he's facing.

Smart is impressing me today. As hard as I've been on him, there is a lot to like. Will see how this season develops.

Ok thanx i just thought if u could get a exxum/smart at 5 n another good player at 19 that would be a good deal.
But i see what you are saying

Oklahoma was really physical with him and I think that threw him off a bit, but we all knew strength is an issue at the immediate. You also have to wonder how much the eye effected him.

19 is just not valuable enough. Some teams sell picks not much lower than that for cash. You need another lottery pick or a chance at one, another good asset like a young promising prospect at a bare minimum. Granted, this is like 20 years old now and times have changed a great deal, but Chris Webber (#1 overall) was traded for Penny Hardaway (#3 overall) and three 1sts.

Bilas said he was a better long term prospect than Wiggins. I think Bilas has a man crush on Embiid.

Smart not shooting well tonight, but staying aggressive. Really attacking the rim. 12 FTA in the first half.

Another less than impressive game from Wiggins. I don't know guys. I don't think I'm a hater since I wanted us to tank for this kid as early as last year, but I see a ton of hype and then getting exposed in the college level ie Mayo, Shabazz, etc. I think he'll be a solid pro. I see a longer Desmond Mason honestly.

If he didn't have all the hype coming into college, he sure wouldn't be standing out.

Smart reminds me of Eric Bledsoe.

My board right now goes like this:

Parker
Embiid (want him at number 1, but big guys scare the crap out of me since the NBA is now guard/wing oriented.
Exum
Wiggins
Randle

You're a hater if you point out obvious flaws.

If Parker and Wiggins continue to struggle, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Smart make a push for top pick consideration due to his experience level.

This game is making me like Smart again. Not as a number 1, but I would take him before Randle and maybe before Wiggins.

I'm sure the next game will change my opinion again, though.

Any GM that takes Smart #1 in this draft should be fired.

Smart has holes in his game no doubt.

But I think out of all the guys that are talked about in the top 5, he looks like the most natural leader to me.
