wtf is this ****!?!?! Have they lost their minds?? I mean, seriously?
Let's do things like OKC and SA...we just need the right person...and you pick Jason Kidd!?

Maybe I'll be wrong about Kidd but it Sounds like something a lifetime fan would do with a lot of money--not someone making shrewd basketball decisions

Our President needs to be the next Ryan McDonough or Sam Hinkie. Not the current Jason Kidd.

 , Because you're such a great business person.

I would just like to further point out how stupid this kind of a comment is. By this logic, you shouldn't be posting anything about the Bucks, because you're not a professional basketball player or coach. So the next time you criticize a player, I'll be sure to say " Because you're such a great player, right?"

It just reeks of "you should be so lucky that a big name and someone who worked in New York sports would even consider coming to your pathetic city". "Now ignore his qualifications and personality completely and show your gratitude".

I feel like L&E are totally basing this off of their friendship and the fact that we're being talked about/sex appeal in regard to cred from potential free agents.

As much as I want Hammond replaced, it would be a bad sign for those of us wanting a better front office to have him clumsily canned for Jason Kidd, and only 24 hours after the new owners let Hammond and Drew do extensive PR with Jabari.

That said, I'm holding out hope that all of this is sparked by Kidd overplaying his hand by virtue of Lasry mentioning to Kidd in passing that he'd give him a courtesy interview someday and that L&E have zero intention of hiring him.

 nice

Wasn't even thinking about the DUI went I wrote that. It was more about that fact that he's burned bridges and seems to have a huge ego which affects his professional relationships. Just doesn't seem like a guy suited for the responsibility of overseeing an entire organization.

If he had shown an eye for talent already it'd a lot easier to dismiss all of that. But the lack of previous experience combined with the personality scares me. Hope I look like an a buffoon years from now if/when this goes through and will gladly bump this thread if that's the case.

Why because I won't bow and just agree with people because they've been around for a few years and have x amount of "And1's" .

I also doubt Kidd would buy in to a multi-year rebuild.

NY Media: So Jason, you left the bright lights and playoff basketball of Brooklyn, NY to endure multiple 20-win seasons as the laughingstock of the league in NBA Siberia?

L&E better not waver from the rebuilding plan they've been selling the city on beautifully since they've taken over and damn well better not give up any picks to get Kidd.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Yeah because the Nets were in such prime position to win a championship.

No, because you say stupid things like "oh, because you're such a great business person." Have you played basketball professionally? Coached? Run a team? Then why do you feel qualified to post on this board? I mean, apparently I need to be a CEO of a corporation to comment on what I think would be a bad business decision.

Where did I ever say that?

My first call though would be to Junior Bridgeman to see if he'd consider the job as part of a career change. Then I'd call Popovich and RC Buford and fly down there to have lunch with them and ask them who they think the bright minds are around the league right now.

 This is a joke. You guys need to stop with these fan fantasy scenarios.

Anyway, Kidd's power play was ludicrous, but it's not like Billy King is some mastermind that should never be usurped.

It's because you plagiarize your point of view, don't own it, and then play passive aggressive. It's off-putting.
