Kids are 9,5,3 but between the Ipads and PS4 I didn't care to spend the $ on another console out of fear that it may not be used for its worth. There is certainly some games that I'd love to play on the switch myself but I cant justify the $5-600 to get setup with system protectors a couple games and added controllers. Fortnite runs wild in my house between the 2 boys, as do several sports titles. They are happy with their ps4, but the switch just looks like great fun for small groups of even just 2-3.
My plan is to keep the console and screen thing up high so my 3 year old can't break it and my 8 year old can't carry it around all the time. I know that this kind of defeats the purpose of the "switch" capabilities, but whatever. I would prefer they get a PlayStation but they really want Mario Kart (which honestly, is the only video game I've played in 23 years [N64 dorm floor champion]) and their friends have Switch so here we are.
It stinks that you can't hook up more than 2 controllers to a single console, but maybe that's industry standard now?
