@Luessi I totally agree, even before his recent improvement he looked like he belonged; Bender was horrible, and still is not good tbh

What's your take on the French guards? Both seem like pretty promising creators/facilitators, Killian especially.

Okoro was a guy I was hoping would be available to us, but in this class he's probably gonna go top ten.

Haven’t seen any of the Frenchmen. Will keep an eye out. I’m on the hunt for athletes with this pick.

I think Stanley is the best athlete in the NCAA. He's like a Gerald Green but smaller with a better motor. Green also was a shooter... Stanley has shooting potential but he's not there yet. With his athleticism, I actually think it's ball handling that makes or breaks him as a prospect. Most mocks have him in the 2nd but I think his tools and competitiveness would make him a good fit for us.

I like Vassell a little more -- not quite as explosive, but longer, good defender, can do a little bit of everything offensively. Reminds me of a more athletic Justin Jackson.

If you're looking for an athletic 3&D wing type with additional upside, I think Jahmius Ramsey would be a good pick.

Don't rule out the possibility of trading up!

Pacers pick + unprotected 2022 first? (Can't trade 2021 first).

Risky move unless they KNOW Giannis is signing the supermax before this year's draft.

Cassius Stanley please. I saw him mocked at 29, that seems insane to me...

You can trade the 2021 first during the draft. You making the selection and then completing the transaction after the fact is a loophole.

Floor seems to be 9th or 10th man on a good team. Just too good of an athlete to not be useful off the bench. Will be a terror in the open court. Broke Zion's vertical leap record. Already a good defender. Not sure how his shot projects (34% from deep 75% from the line).

If Pat is leaving, he could probably instantly replace 75% of what Pat gives them almost instantly and maybe 100% by the end of his rookie season. Maybe not as good chasing guards around screens but much better on the wings players.

But they can't package it with the Pacers pick to move up in the 2020 draft.

Yes they can. It's order of operations. You take Player A for us. When our selection comes around we take player B for you (ie the Pacers pick) and then we'll trade Player B + the 2021 first for your Player A. That's a move up in the 2020 draft deal. They're done often.

With that being said, none of this matters because we will be conveying the 2022 first to Cleveland.

Long story short, there is no way currently for them to use the 2021 pick to move up in 2020 even with order of operations because of the looming first in the Cavs trade. Outside of making it a pick swap, I guess.

Gang, I no longer make the time to watch college bball outside of the tourney, but does Jordan Nwora have a very Khris Middleton vibe to his offense or am I way off base?

I dunno anything about college hoops, but a contender/possible champs picking at 18 is pretty solid.

I have only seen him play once or twice but I can see that offensively. He is hitting 44% from three on 6+ attempts and 82% from the foul line, so he should be able to consistently hit the NBA three. Not sure he ends up as elite in the midrange as Midds.

He is also limited athletically so he might not end up being a plus wing defender in the NBA.

Probably ready to go from day one though as a 21 year old junior. But it definitely comes down to whether he can be okay guarding wings as he has way too thin a frame to be a decent stretch four in the league.

How high could this pick + Donte get us? If one of the point guards drop it could be worth looking into. Hill is getting up there and Bled is Bled.

But Donte is the starting two guard as soon as next season with Wes having so many miles on his tires. And Donte can cover minutes at the one himself as long as Giannis is on the floor. Why ship that out in hopes a rookie PG can contribute?

Donte is probably the best player on anyone's best in the entire NBA.

Which point guard in this draft is worth Donte, let alone him and the pick? I'd trade our pick and a future 1st on draft night to move up for one though, like Anthony, Hayes, Hampton, Mannion, etc.
