Whoa, let's not get crazy. Just Bradley Beal with better defense.

You're waiting until #2?
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Any chance Merrill will be the Bucks' Duncan Robinson this season? He shot over 40% for 3pters in college.

Robinson was helped by a year in the G League.

However, Merrill was a far better college player.

OK, so all in saying is, I'm not sure.

They shot the same percentage in college from 3, Duncan played against better comp, but Merrill was the focus of the defense every night and put up way more career 3 point attempts. I'd say odds are pretty good he's 40% or better from 3. Will he be able to do much else? Ummm.........

Not saying Duncan can. If Merrill is our Duncan I'm good with it.

Merrill is saying he'll be more than a shooter & committed to getting in peak physical condition. He's going to do more than Duncan.

Let's not compare the 60th pick to one of the best shooters in the NBA. 90% Merrill is out of the league in 2 years.

Not that I think he's going to necessarily be a Robinson type shooter, but you do realize he was undrafted, right? Seems silly to argue that a 60th pick will never live up to him.

I think everyone realizes that the 60th pick is more likely to not stick in the NBA for long than he is, but it's also not hard to see why people are hoping he can be a Duncan Robinson type shooter. Robinson averaged 42% from three and 86% FT in college, Merrill averaged 42% and 49%. Both entered the league in their mid 20s. The biggest advantage in the league Robinson will have is he's 6'8", but Merrill isn't exactly Isaiah Thomas. Also worth noting, though, that Duncan didn't play much in his first season and when he did he didn't shoot well.
