Sounds like Young may be back as the lead assistant.

Every Boston fan is in mourning today. Now we await the trades.

Good. **** Boston lol. What trades do you think they’ll make? They’ll super max Jaylen and lose Grant Williams to a dumb team willing to overpay him.

Maybe Brogdon Pritchard and a 1st for CP3 might make some sense for both teams?

If Boston was smart they’d dump Al Horford and that terrible contract but good luck with that.

The core 4 in Boston should be seen as Tatum Brown Robert Williams and Derrick White. Everyone else should be readily available but I could understand reluctance to move Smart unless you can get something lucrative. Idk tho.

Weird off season for them, they have to be sick and tired of the Ferris wheel they’re on tho. I just hope whatever they do, they completely screw it up.

I dunno, I guess the bigger thing is this is Griffin's maiden voyage. All others have helmed teams.

We've focused for a decade on the "if he can become a __% jump shooter/3 point shooter when really the only thing he needs to be unstoppable is 75% from the charity stripe.

He needs to play smarter. That’s the real adjustment.

His jump shooting will always be erratic, atleast for the foreseeable future.

I don’t understand why nobody has reigned in that 30 foot drive to the basket through 3 defenders…

It is interesting that the management in Philly & Phoenix were able to convince their stars to let them hire NBA Championship winning Head coaches even though neither played in the NBA

If he decides he doesn't want to return to the place that chose Vogel over him, he'd be a hell of an associate head coach and offensive coordinator for Adrian's first season as head coach.

I'm a fan of both teams so yeah I would love Young to end up in either spot. Not that I really know **** about assistant coaches but everyone seems to think highly of young.

Feel like the Vogel hires success really hinges on who he hires to run the O.

And yet the sun will rise in the East tomorrow, life will go on, & we still won't have any clue on how Griffin will pan out.

Would you have wanted to hire all those guys, though? If not, then you understand that there are more important considerations.

I stated from the beginning my top 3 were Lue, Nurse, Vogel in that order. And if I knew character issues didn't matter than Udoka would have been 3rd on my list ahead of Vogel

How about Doc? He's got a ring as a HC. Prefer him to Griffin? This isn't a 'gotcha', totally valid position to have, just checking.

No, while it is true Doc has a ring he's the exception to my general thought. He hasn't been to the conference finals since 2010. A decade of mediocrity wipes away his previous success in my eyes

Whats coach bud up to? All that movement, and he was not considered?

Or did he take time off and decided to sit a season out?

Would not be surprised if he ends up back on Pop's staff with the promise of taking over when he retires.

It is wild he didn't even interview anywhere. It gives off the vibe he does want to take a year off. I can't imagine he'd retire but at 53 years old with what he's accomplished he could definitely retire and is probably a HOF lock if he wanted to just be done

With the family tragedy and that he gets paid by the Bucks either way, taking a year off is possible. Wait around for a nice opening or be Pop’s successor.

What's that one site that shows what the final score analytically should have been based off the shots taken by each team?

Obviously the Jrue matchup didn't work out, but this also seems like a different Jimmy mentally. He was flat out way more aggressive in our series than any of the following outside of a game or two in the Celtics series and in the final minutes of game 6. He has just looked so passive for large stretches since the Bucks series.

Could that be the fact that these other teams are wearing him out cause thry are doybling him n being aggressive with him while the bucks juat let him go wherever he wanted to shoot wide open 15 footers the whole damn series.
Not even close to what the celts did on him on D compared to that garbage D the bucks did on him

I am curious, Giannis was reportedly upset at Bud's lack of adjustments on Jimmy. Considering Jrue was the primary defender nearly the whole series I do wonder how Jrue would have felt if he had gotten "benched" in that role. I'm not saying it shouldn't have happened because obviously Jrue got cooked by Jimmy, but what might make one player happy could likely upset another
