AJJ does a million screens a game, cuts and can throw a lob. There should be a role for him.

Livingston is raw, but a year from now we'll be glued to his every move in Summer League. He's quicker and more agile than I thought. He's just not getting many opportunities right now because of Manion. The drive and dish Livingston had to Cook was beautiful.

I also like Livinston a lot. I think he's probably 2-3 years away from being a potential contributor, but was pretty happy with him overall. Could see him being a really good modern 3/4 hybrid guy.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

This is the most interesting I can ever remember our summer league team being. Even Cook is showing something here. Just an easy elevator and seems to find space in the defense for dumpoffs.

Here here all aboard the Livingston train... hoping he contributes sooner rather than later.

Yeah, Livingston has a big, wide, live body. If he can shoot and develop his handle a bit, he could grow into that big wing player we need

Going forward, would like to see Cook and Timme get the bulk of the minutes at the 5, Gortman-Moore-Green-Besson take most of the guard minutes, and then fill in the wing minutes around MarJon/Dre/Livingston. The spacing of the Mannion/Fall lineups is nonexistent and I think it is partly why the offense looks so disjointed to start the game.

Mannion is theoretically a much better shooter than Gortman (but I agree in general I’d rather see Gort since he appears to potentially have a future with us). Nico shot 37% from 3 the last two years overseas and around 46% on 2’s. He’s really struggled shooting the ball in summer league though.

Livingston looks like just a guy to me. A decent but not elite athlete with no discernible skills.

AJJ is a ball of organized chaos. Love his motor. Don’t love that push shot from the free throw line.

Gortman pops. Give him minutes to see what we have. I think he might be a gem.

The Bucks win this game despite shooting 4-22 from 3. Manion was 0-9, and is now 1-15 from 3 in Summer League. Hopefully he's done and Wiggington plays the next 2 games, or Gortman plays fulltime.

Same.

Just grateful that MarJon looks ready to make a leap. He is so much stronger this year, and he’s using it. This could be interesting.

I suspect Gortman may have more gravity as a shooter because of his quick trigger and his ability to get separation, even if he’s a worse shooter percentage-wise. Nico just hasn’t been much of a threat off the dribble so it’s tough to have the ball in his hands so much. I’d be interested to see what he looks like off ball though.

Pretty much agree with this, though Livingston flashed a bit more in the second half yesterday at least. I’m pretty skeptical as he just didn’t look like anything special in high school and was horrible in college but stranger things have happened. He does undoubtedly have the frame you look for.

Finally caught up on these games. Why the **** is Tacko playing big (any) minutes? Just go smaller with Timme/Cook. Also so strange that we have Mannion running the show when... his rights still belong to GS. What is the worst that could happen if you just give Dre/Gortman those minutes? (besides 20 fouls)

Not allowing myself to get too high on MarJon. Summer League is a fickle bitch. He at least looks stronger, more comfortable, and more aggressive. Dre has been as advertised, Gortman has very real NBA quickness & pull-up ability. It's been fun!

That Tobes/Henson summer league team was fun.

I've only watched the highlights, but have been very impressed with MarJon's shotmaking. Very encouraging.

Not sure what to make of AJJ yet.
Spoiler:
Hoping he wasn't a nepo pick.
Is it too early to rue not getting Jordan Walsh, who went two picks later and whose shot doesn't appear to be broken?

I think the new coach is also testing out some system related things during these games as well. Tacko is out there to approximate Brook’s size and “mobility”.
