Did DDV spend time in green bay and learn how to tackle like a safety?

Are there any other angles of the Knicks v Pistons ending? It kinda looked like Thompson lost control of the ball and Donte dived to recover it.

Wasn't he supposed to be suspended for the NOLA fight?

Upon postgame review, we determined that Thompson gets to the ball first, and then was deprived of the opportunity to gain possession of the ball," James Williams said. "Therefore, a loose ball foul should have been whistled on New York's Donte DiVincenzo.

I didn't know DDV was a New York Knickerblocker. I'd call this the worst officiating of the year, but the problem is they keep topping themselves.

I think this is the right call. That's a loose ball and DDV got there. Contact is incidental.

Sorry but when have you ever been able to body-check a guy at the knees just because he doesn't have full control of the basketball? That's not only a blatant foul, but it's also an incredibly dangerous play. No idea what the refs were looking at there.

Horrible non-call, which the NBA now agrees was wrong. The non-call has everything to do with it being Detroit.

Yeah on further review I think the L2M is right. Thompson definitely there first. Initially thought DDV was and Thompson ran into him; DDV would be allowed to cut him off in that situation. You can have a lot of contact not be a foul on a true loose ball, which this wasn't.

Also Hart hammered Fontecchio before that and Duren did not foul Hart on the +1.

Re: throttling offense. Just let perimeter players play defense. Don’t blow the whistle for every bump or slight hand check.

Would decrease over help from corner/wing leading to constant kick outs to role playing shooters. Also would end the constant parade to the FT line for negligible contact that everyone hates. Might make teams rely on post play to space the court for their shooters, which would lead to more variety in play styles.

Anything but transition/3 pointers/Free Throws being the offense for every single nba team.

It really is super simple, ignore the swing through fishing foul thing and call illegal screens and we're good.

Even if he's only like 2% chance of panning out from here, he's an entertaining side show you can use your imagination to pin some unrealistic hopes on. Like this for depressed Hornets fans.

Yeah, sadly, they're never calling illegal screens anymore cuz "fREEdom Of mOVemenT". Post play is boring to casuals, so it's no coincidence that the league through the rule changes started forcing bigs away from the basket and reward them for pass-blocking like NFL offensive lineman. Pick-and-roll meta has ruined diversity of playstyles in the NBA and it's depressing.

Summary of Zach Lowe’s Bucks commentary: “The Bucks are a mess. Lets get back to the Warriors, Nuggets, Lakers, Clippers, and Celtics.”

This. Just call illegal screens and that alone would throttle offenses.
