He is anything but. Lets compare him with white chubby guy Nikola Jokić (same age-29)

Jokić--447 regular season games last 6 seasons-didnt miss a single playoff game in his life
Giannis--399 regular season games last 6 seasons-injured in 4 of this 6 seasons in playoffs

Giannis will get statue in front of Fiserv at the end of day. As he should.

But he is injury prone.
Thats because of his style of play. Joker plays under control and can score from anywhere on the floor. Giannis can't.

In the last 2-3 years the middle seeds 4-8 have gotten a lot better. The west is stacked, but the east has Indy, Knicks, etc. even the Magic and Cavs are decent. Beating any of those teams without Giannis would be a tall order. I feel fine when he is back.

We are going to be asking a lot from Giannis if he can actually return and play.

We actually defended Indiana pretty well in the regular season in that game where we played ajax and marjon more than usual. At this point, until GA gets back, just throw Ajax out there and see what happens.

It would be less than what we are currently asking of Dame. He can do it.

I mean is there even a guarantee Giannis is back? I know reports seem positive but could also be gamesmanship as he is only like 2.5 weeks removed from the injury. My guess is he is out Game 3 and if lose then “IF” he is genuinely close to returning they try to get him out there Game 4.

Kinda sucks to lose home court. Historically role players play better in the home playoff games and I have no faith in our depth. If Dame isn’t being super man again Game 3, I think Indiana will blow our doors off when we start bringing in reserves again. Middleton and Lopez aren’t quite what they used to be to give us enough power. Giannis coming back certainly levels the playing field, but that is not a given and who knows what % he’ll even be at.

Last night was a rough one any way you slice. I’m struggling to spin much positive out of it.

Obviously we are not winning this series if Giannis doesn't return. You can't hide five bad defenders. Watching Khris attempt to defend anyone in space is just... I feel bad for him. Brook, Bobby, Malik, Jae, Dame aren't much better. This is the third Bucks coach of the season to completely punt on defense. Fine. Then you have to be the first team to 130. And that ain't happening with Jae and Pat on the floor. Either adjust your rotations accordingly or put f***ing AJJ in the game to wreck a little havoc. The fact that this guy was unable to carve out an athletic glue guy role on a roster of plodders remains the biggest head scratcher of the season. Giannis needs to come save the day. Cape up, Freak.

Bobby, Beas, and AJ being -5, -4, and +7 last night is all the proof you need to know how useless single game plus-minus can be. Just too many unplayable guys saw the court last night and that's a problem. Grand scheme of things, going 1-1 without Giannis should still be seen as a win, but we need him back badly. This was a game where you ideally should have just yanked Bobby off the floor completely and went small, but without Giannis and Crowder continuing to be a non-factor, you basically couldn't.

A ridiculous comment. Tyrese fully embracing the villain role. We'd all love him if he was on the Bucks.

They need someone who can atleast stick with Siakim. Doc had Brook on him at the start of the 2nd. I'd play Livingston, AJJ, even Thanasis.

Allah have mercy upon me but Thanasis at least has size and athleticism. Pat C is a gamer but he is not a power forward. Thought Pat on the frontline would have disappeared along with Coach Yeah-No but no.

It would be less than what we are currently asking of Dame. He can do it.

On defense just having a capable defender in the paint would be huge.

On offense Dame is thriving despite being swarmed/double/triple teamed. Imagine if Indy had to make a choice of doing that or doubling Giannis/building the wall. They can't do both.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Don't hold your breath. I've been trying to put it into the universe for 84 games and its simply not happening. Only explanation is that AJJ is awful in practice.

Hope Khris' ankle heals quickly, because we need him to be Khash Money if we have any chance of going anywhere in the playoffs. And of course we will absolutely need Giannis back by game 4. But we could steal a few with Dame, Khris, and one other guy going off and the rest playing decent.

It was 92-88 at 1 point in the early 4th and Indy blew the doors off the game. They scored 30+ in all 4 quarters and we didn’t put up 30 in any. I think missing our super star reared its ugly head tonight and nothing more. They brought Siakim in to do what he’s doing, we brought Dame in to do what he’s doing, it’s a chess match and we’re missing a huge piece and they aren’t. This series won’t be defined until they beat us with Giannis or Giannis gets ruled out for the whole series. Hang tough Bucks fans.

Also, if Siakam is just gonna keep being prime Kevin Durant now, then this series got a lot more difficult. Pretty sure he hasn't missed a single mid-ranger jumper.

Lets be real. This has been a season from hell and the Bucks are not winning anything. The worst thing that can happen is to rush Giannis back. Lets all take a deep breath and accept it. One big positive is dame has looked awesome so far and if the team can tinker a bit and get a better roster next year I can actually see them winning it all.
