Yes. So many possessions where Dame/Giannis are clearly exhausted, we spend 15 seconds dribbling in place, have a near turnover after a panic pass and throw up a terrible shot (with no one in place for an offensive rebound) Just absolutely wasting possessions. We’re not going to get away with that garbage against Boston.

What’s frustrating is that when we’re purposeful about getting into our actions quickly we normally get good shots. But if the defense only has to defend for 8 seconds instead of 20, and you do that 5-10 times a game more than what is necessary, you’re going to drown in bad math over time.

OKC has a better defense than Boston by quite a large margin

Not against us. Boston has Horford. That’s the difference. Giannis cannot bully him, which means he goes from unstoppable force to merely very good.

But I would say OKC is best equipped to slow down Boston’s offense. They just won’t be able to score enough to keep up.

I am reading this thread thinking this is really cool tonight and Giannis is a on a mission, and who knows, maybe the Bucks can get back the Finals.

Then you have to blow my Bucks high and kill my hopes and dreams by reminding me that Al Horford still plays for the Celtics.

****.

In all seriousness, I hope they do. This is an accomplishment and should be celebrated. I think the Cup will grow in prestige as time passes and it develops its own rich history. Having legends like LeBron and Giannis win Cup MVPs helps. And let's be honest, there are worse banners already hanging at Fiserv.

Andre Jackson Jr. turning into a junkyard dog perimeter defender is exactly what we needed to happen. He’s perfect next to Dame, the game slowing down for him and controlling his foul rate has been a revelation.

Horford will be a month short of being 39 when we play them. He’s already fading a little bit. I’m putting my money on this being the post season Father Time wins

Man, the Giannis/Brook jumbo two man game to end the 2nd quarter was a sight to behold.

He's been solid with it overall, but if he can just master the corner 3 he is our suped up PJ.

In what way? Not watching

Those two guys absolutely did not want to be there. SGA got asked twice if he had issues with Ajax. He kept fiddling on his phone. Meanwhile Williams has a voice you wouldn’t expect. Sounds like a university professor. They’re both just quirky guys.

Dre's a stud and has so much room to improve. Giannis is still Giannis. Never seen anything like him.

What they are saying: “He’s a great scorer. Gets his teammates involved, just a lot of times it’s hard to stop him. I think at some point, you gotta send two, three players. It’s amazing to play against a guy like this. The battles. It’s fun. He’s an amazing player.” — Dončić on Gilgeous-Alexander.

Or just send Ajax on him and let him go to work.

Green and Ajax are learning and growing so much. Their continued development might be the key to the Bucks post season chances. (after health)

Great team win. Bucks are 3-1 vs. the West. I know. It doesn't count.

A win Friday at Cleveland would really grab the attention of the rest if the league.

Enjoy a 16 point win against a very good team.

And not like it’s bad math to run down the clock in a defensive game. When you are up by 16+, you are only going to lose if you turn it over or give open shots when clanking long 3s ten seconds into the shot clock. A team has to go 6-7 from 3 in the final four minutes to lose the game assuming you don’t make one bucket but run 35 seconds off the clock between 24 on offense 11 on defensive considering your defense is set.

Thank you for saying this.. our rushed possessions with 16 point leads has killed us for many playoff losses and close calls

The Bucks didn’t score very well in the 4th quarter while they were holding OKC to 81 points. :reporter:

I think Horford is going to be in the PJ Tucker category. A great defender just stops being a difference maker at some point. Tucker hit 38 last year and became a nonfactor and he's 39 now and not doing anything.

I wouldn't bet on Horford being a consistent menace come this playoff time.
