Gah, it's 3:10am, I should be going to bed. But I just can't turn the game off.

I'll just wait until the inevitable choke- and chuck-fest

He's still an elite NBA center and Bogut is having a terrific game against him. I see no reason to use a qualifier and minimize what Bogut is doing. He's playing strong in the post, making great moves and converting. And he's rebounding well. Helluva game so far.

Elite centers should be good at both sides of the court. Although AS is good at the offense side, I don't put him among the list of elite centers. He is a good PF, but terrible in defending the traditional Cs.

And that's one voice in a decidedly pro-Mo forum. You wouldn't hear me hammer away at Nash's poor defense. Instead, I'd be praising Mo's offense just like I'm going to praise Bogut for the work he did in the first half.

I'm not a fan of qualifiers.

Thank you Europa. Too many on here bitch about Bogut being offensively challenged and when he does deliver it, it gets marginalised because his opposition in a weak defender.

The only centers I'd take ahead of Stoudamire are Yao and Howard. If you want to include Duncan, I'm fine with that. But that's three and that's it. I have zero problems calling the fourth-best center in the league an elite player.

No problems at all with the ball movement with Redd on the court. It's been terrific. And the offense didn't miss a beat when Mo left early in the first quarter or had to leave early in the second quarter.

I don't care for the qualifiers - mainly because they are never applied equally. So screw 'em and focus on the fact Bogut is playing great so far. I don't see why that's so hard to do.

Agreed. There'll be half a dozen threads over the next few days arguing about the qualifiers and how bogut has no post moves and amare is a worse defender than CV. For now let's just be happy that Bogut is having an outstanding game.

You have to use qualifiers here for the entire team.....

Phoenix sucks on defense...our guys aren't bothered and they are ALL shooting lights out.

When we play a team like the Lakers, even the role players like Farmar and Walton get in everyone's grill and it bugs our players, so we don't shoot well.

I don't think there is a whole lot more analysis to this game that that....

I applaud Bogut for doing his part.....

They're playing smart. They're running Redd off screens and if he isn't open they're going to other options. Bogut, Simmons and Villanueva have all stepped up and that's been the key. Those three have combined to miss only four shots and one of those was a half-court heave by Villanueva.
