It feels very Horst-ish actually to try to turn Cam Payne and Rolo into Pat Bev and Gallo for only a 2nd round pick... are we linked to Gallo anywhere yet? Doc, GA, get on his celly

Haven't seen anything regarding him and the Bucks. I won't be surprised if he ends up on the Heat though.

I think my order of preference goes:

Athletic big
Wing defender
Middleton cover

Main question is who is covering others teams best offensive player?

Bev can't guard tall wings..

Ntilikina can guard at the highest level multiple positions. He's better than Jrue on D, he can guard Jimmy, Tatum, PG. His offence isn't consistent but it may not even matter if he's playing with Dame, Giannis, Midds

A few different routes to go here. Gallo feels like the Horstian move here a la Gasol and Dragic.

Gabriel as an energy big would be just fine with me. Like the Javonte Green thought, barring medicals. One guy I keep coming back to is Darius Bazley as a big, athletic wing that can rebound and play some D.

I don't really see a a role for Gallo, especially come playoffs. Not one to use the "completely washed" tag much but he just cannot move and stay in front of literally anyone that I've seen. Like he's an offensive four at this stage and at that point would you ever really even play him over Bobby, who already has his role limited in the playoffs? Doesn't seem to really plug any holes on the team at all.

I know everyone is lol’ing at the clip of Bev with the clipboard but all 3 of Lopez, Prunty and Doc looked annoyed. Not sure how long this experiment lasts.

I laughed in the moment, then immediately went to hoping that after the game Doc took him aside and had a conversation that started with “you know I love the passion, but…”

Yeah I kinda agree we don't need another old name guy to sit on the bench, they always bring weird vibes when they don't play as much as they expect to. Need to hit on a signing a hungry unheralded type imo, would be great if there's someone they think could be a contributor going into next season as well if possible. Kris Dunn & Pat Bev were available last year, we got Jevon Carter before that.

I think the team is punting on that and is just going to throw Crowder, Khris, Giannis at those guys and hope for the best.

I don't think trying to plug holes with journeymen G-leaguers just because they're athletic is the move either.

I’d go for Bazley too

Not slower or worse on D than KM or Bobby, longer than KM, and he's more efficient on O than each.. not seeing a downside

Meh, I haven't seen A TON of Gallo the past couple years but he definitely is, even before the ACL.

If GA has to cover a 3 than having Gallo to slide to the 4 would be a nice luxery.. better handle than KM and Bobby too

I saw him frustrate Embiid by being a pest.. KM would probably step aside

I mean we can just punt the idea that he'd play ANY minutes over Khris Middleton to the moon, even though I know you hate him.

No, this is assuming GA would have to cover the other team's 3 in a playoff game for a period of time then Gallo slides to the 4 in that situation.. KM covers none

Also assuming Bobby has to play stretches at the 5 against some teams.. just saying Gallo has a skillset we could use..plus size

The idea of a Gallo/Bobby or Gallo/Brook frontcourt is actually hilarious.
