can be accomplished with a 3 teamer using Bobby Portis to get the picks they want

Those player options for Bobby and Pat are going to kill some deals.

I think you'd lose a lot chemistry wise trading both Bobby and Pat.

And call it whatever you want but I'm not trading Bobby. Heart and soul of the team and basketball karma would come for us if we trade him after he turned down likely double what he could've made to stay in Milwaukee.

Show me any stats you want. I'm not leaving this island.

I think I'm finally at the point where I don't want to trade Bobby for anything less than a star.

When do we learn what the situation is with Khris?

This seems like a degenerative knee situation ala Brandon Roy (or Sidney or Lanier for us old-timers).

Doesn't appear to be anything. He's been set up to ramp his minutes up, but we haven't needed him to close those games. He's moving fine. You're on alert just because they had him skip a segebaba?

I have been thinking about this trade idea since you posted it, as much as moving Bobby would be a tough sell for Bucks fans, this trade makes them a better playoff team. I am also high on Jaylin Williams though, he feels a bit like a young Al Horford to me.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Games Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Sunday upcoming. 2 against the Wizards, one against the Blazers. If Khris is still at 20-25 after those 4 games there is a problem imo.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It’s certainly within reason to wonder. He looks great but he’s not playing big minutes for a reason. I know these games don’t mean anything or whatever but that doesn’t explain why Khris seems to be capped at 20 minutes a month into the season.

If they can manage him and he can be productive for 25 minutes a night, then great. But I’m just assuming he’s done as a full time player til he’s a full time player again. Still think he’s a really good player when he’s out there.

Any setback and you have to wonder if it’s in the team’s best interest to shut him down. Really don’t want to get into April/May and we’re killing our chemistry and taking away minutes from our young guys trying to reintegrate Khris into the rotation 20 minutes at a time.

Bobby should be staying unless it’s to get some sort of star player

If Khris is still on a minutes restriction post All Star break then I'll be worried. He probably plays 24-25 minutes in the Charlotte game if it stayed competitive throughout and so I think they are slowly ramping him. And being slow and conservative in his ramp up is I think pretty clearly the right move because unless you think the success of this team hinges on getting the 1 seed I don't see much additional benefit in being aggressive with his minutes at this time of the year.

The feel/chemistry between Dame/Giannis is definitely looking better but random thought - we should see what Steve Nash is up to and maybe throw him some cash to come be one of our offensive assistants.

Just having Nash around to help accelerate the Dame/Giannis PnR synergy would be worth it.

And Nash did some smart things offensively in that 01 series. Specifically game 5 when it was clear Bud was leaving Brook in and playing drop when KD got hot, Nash spammed high PnR for KD with Brook’s man so KD got to attack downhill for easy layups or pull-ups to get them back into the game.

Bud made no adjustments so Nash kept running it.

Bud probably should have tried Portis for Brook and blitzed the PnR or went with Giannis at center and had him switch onto KD after the pick. Anything better than Brook standing at the free throw line with KD dribbling at him full speed.

Nash is a tool, he was D'Antoni's puppet. If you want to add a coaching mind, bring in D'Antoni, but I don't think he wants to work fulltime.

How is Nash a tool? By all accounts he's a great dude.

With over $150-million in career NBA earnings, Steve Nash might not be inclined to relocate to a cold weather market and endure the travel travails of an NBA assistant coach. His interest might hinge on his desire or lack thereof to get another HC gig.
