Jimmy actually works on the court and and is a winner unlike the career overpaid losers like Beal or LaVine. Bucks should ONLY be interested in guys who play tough defense and create for others/play off the ball, last thing the team needs is any more chuckers or ball pounders.

I am only interested in Jimmy, I don’t have any desire for a big trade with anybody else that’s available. Maybe get under 2nd apron but I’d rather maintain future flexibility than lock in to this core right now.

You could maybe work around it but adding Butler kills spacing and shooting. He’s definitely not a better fit than what LaVine could be offensively.

Defense would be atrocious and I don’t understand how people aren’t getting that there is diminishing returns for ball pounders that have to now share the ball, we don’t need more PPGz ffs. We saw Dame fall off like that, we see how it works in Phoenix, this isn’t NBA Live! We don’t need another guy jacking up 20 shots not contributing to anything else, this is crazy.

Defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense defense

Holy **** DEFENSE!

Bucks don’t need more guys that need to jack up shots, they need guys who can play within an offense and defend. Toughness, testicular fortitude, a winner! I can’t begin to conceive the logic of locking into a core with Dame LaVine backcourt.

This is one of the downsides of the guaranteed contracts. By all rights you’d have Khris retire a Buck and ease into a 6-10th man role (or wherever he fits in)

But you can’t let that $34mm salary slot next year go to waste.

Jimmy is the ball pounder. Lavine would thrive on catch and shoot threes. Jimmy v Lavine has some overtones of old Gary Payton versus Ray Allen.

I don’t disagree with you that the defense is still a major question mark. But Lavine extends your window a couple more years, and allows you to trade Dame in the off-season if needed.

I don't think old Khris has much value but if there's a deal out there that improves the team (I'm doubtful there is) you do it. Tell Giannis he can still Facetime his BFF.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I’m intrigued by how well Lavine is playing right now. He’s a good guy personality wise who I think could play the 3rd wheel and there is literally no way he isn’t better defensively than Middleton right now. We have to try to do something because there is almost no way anyone in their right mind can think Middleton can hold up for a playoff run anymore.

Bucks are in a tough spot trading wise.

Portis is probably better than Williams at offensively.

Feel sorry for Khris.

After last night we may not be able to get either Butler or Levine for Khris and others. We may only grt much worse players.

Thus Bucks are indeed in a tough spot trading; I can’t think of a good solution at this point in time.

Jimmy could play off ball too. I just don’t trust that dude and like the idea of Lavine’s contract the next few years over extending him. Pros and cons to both but it’s time we get serious

If you trade Middleton for Lavine, you are getting another shooting guard on top of Green and Trent. I don't think our need is there

While if you trade Middleton for Butler you get a superior SF that can play defense (but is not as a good shooter).

I’ve watched LaVine his whole career and I’ve never thought once this is a guy putting up anything besides empty stats, he’s been unmovable for years because of this and his albatross contract. He’s not Ray Allen, he’s just Bradley Beal without the NTC and no assets will be coming with him. Just a very low IQ player, not a guy who contributes to wins. IDK how people look at the Suns as the team to model our team after. The guy is about to turn 30 and misses tons of games, this isn’t extending the window and isn’t a guy you can build around.

All these teams would love to dump these other guys for Jimmy because they are and always will be losers. You guys still pine for PJ Tucker after all these years and he **** sucked as a player, that’s how rare a player with some testicular fortitude is and obviously Jimmy brings a lot more than that.

Can we really get Levine or Butler after last night?

Maybe we can get Levine or Butler by adding our ‘31 first round pick. There is a small chance for that.

Another option could be to play Khris creatively against our next weak opponent; to me it doesn’t matter if we lose; it is far more important to show other teams that Khris is still good.

Jimmy is 35 going on 13. Not only is he way on the other side of the hill and would be the last confirmation that we've fully and totally mortgaged any future hope for the next 4 months, he's also an absolute child who will throw an unparalleled temper tantrum whenever he feels it's right for him. He's done it three times now.

I almost wanted him less than Beal. Almost.

No team in their right mind, especially a team that wants to get under the apron, is going to sign a guy like Levine that costs them 46 and 49 million the next two years.

The only guy that is a difference maker is Butler and do you want his baggage after this year? Maybe, if winning a championship is worth it. Middleton looked the worst I've ever seen him.

How undersized would we be with LaVine playing a bunch of SF?

Also do we think he can take the PG role Khris has been doing?

Honest questions!

Jimmy unquestionably could do both but also is out of his mind and needs a fat extension into years his game will undoubtedly fall off.

He can’t catch and shoot like LaVine, but on the court, I’m more worried about whether Jimmy’s ego could allow him to embrace the less glamorous Jrue Holiday role that’d be ideal for him here especially as his athleticism wanes.

What is the consensus here about Julius Randle? Would he be a good replacement for Bobby? Just think his contributions & contract might be better than a Jeremi Grant and Twolves might be open to a deal ?

Guys, Khris is DONE as a third banana on a championship team, that ship has sailed.

The time is now, you can’t just “wait and see” what happens during another prime Giannis season. The only question is where do you go from here.

The ‘31 first has to go for an impact player.

Always thought in these situations where you have good will with a player but also realize the time isn't right that one of these guys gets traded for assets. Then opts out this off-season and signs back with the Bucks for the MLE after we get under the second apron. Khris just misses one playoff run
