The French Frank would be so awesome to have on our team. If he gets passed the Mavs, Horst better be getting on that phone.

I am admittedly not knowledgeable on Fultz, but if he is this good, why would the Celtics pass on him? And if he was that good, no matter how bad his team mates where, 9 wins? Strength of schedule was 66th in the nation, so there were winnable games. Just something about those two factors that gives me pause, maybe completely unwarranted, but maybe there is some Bo Callahan there.

Think of it this way: they missed the tournament last year and then lost 2 first round picks and a 20 point scorer. Do you know what Anthony Davis' high school record was? Do you care?

They also returned four, four-star recruits.

9-22 is really, really bad. They won two games in the Pac-12, a conference that was pretty abysmal.

I'm not saying it defines Fultz, but it certainly raises some questions as to how much of an impact he can make on his teammates.

Bit of an aside, but where are you getting that the PAC 12 was "pretty abysmal"?

Did Little Cleo release his draft rankings yet? Or did I miss it?

Worst rated conference of any of the "big" conferences, per KenPom. I'd say that qualifies.

I guess you would, since it suits your argument. I don't think there's a big difference between any of the power conferences and the interactions between them are a sliver of an already small population. KenPom is a very admirable attempt to sort chaos.

I mean, just by watching the Pac 12 too, you would have seen that it was not a good conference out of UCLA and Arizona.

Any time your team can win two conference games, that's pretty pathetic.

I haven't spent as much time looking at the draft as I usually do, but the top 10 looks really solid. Normally there are a couple guys I just don't like, but I could see them all panning out. I'd say I'm the lowest on Tatum given his #3 projection.

He has Washington as an above average team. How does this affect your KenPom emotion?

UCLA and U of A were bad now? K, good luck with that. How was Oregon? Also bad?

According to the mock draft I'm watching on NBA TV, every player drafted is a stud and will be awesome so we're good.

(They picked Giles for us)

The only thing I would want more than getting Bam and Oliver in this draft is Ntilinka slipping to us or moving up to get DSJ or Monk. Like I said before, I have never been so excited about picking this late in the draftfore. I still think that some of the players in our range would could go in the top 5 in most drafts based on potential. I would be ok with Giles, Allen, Anigbogu, or even Leaf. I do not want Raab or Mitchell. Would someone please sell me on Mitchell. I see an excellent defender but not much else. I can see the Steve Francis comparisons with DSJ but that is definitely one chance I'm willing to take. Some of you guys totally sold me on him. I now think he will be one of the top three players in this draft.

To my eyes, Giles was the worst player in Duke's rotation in every game I saw. I just don't see how you pick him.

DSJ is one of the more conflicting prospects in a while. Clearly a big talent but I saw him obviously stop trying in significant games.

There's something about Fultz that gives me pause and I can't exactly put my finger on it. That workout for the Sixers was pretty poor but that's not it. Just not convinced he will be the best player on this draft... I'd definitely pick Lonzo over him, and maybe even DSJ. Same for Fox, I'm not that high on him either.

All great prospects though. I'm just splitting hairs right now.

I would like us to trade up for Ntilikina. If not, I'm partial to Bam at 17.

But I expect us to take Giles (because Schwartz)

I'm really just not seeing how you fall in love with Bam.

I'm not. Just partial to him. Full disclosure, I must defer to others evaluations of this draft's prospects. I just haven't spent enough time watching any of these guys or reading up on them.

The most time I've spent has been on Ntilikina, because he intrigued me. I usually spend 10-14 days prior to the draft cramming for the draft, but this year that span was occupied too much with our debacle of a GM search process
