Too bad the NBA is giving Disney 170 million. Imagine if they used up all the dorms in 2-3 HBCUs that weren't having students on campus in the fall. Could have cut them a check that would have been 5 years of their operating budget and put at least half of it to fund a gigantic endowment for scholarships.

I believe that Disney provided the minimally acceptable accommodations for the league, players and agents. And we’re still hearing how it isn’t good enough from some players.

If they make it to the 2nd round it will finish. Those teams will all care.

I don't know how it's gets there though

The basketball tournament has gotten through it. Mls for the most part seems to be having success. If the nba fails with way more precautions than either of those two leagues than the players themselves are selfish and no better than the anti maskers that go to covid parties. It is safer inside that bubble than anywhere in America right now outside the mountains of Montana as far as contracting the virus.

Gotta admit I've watched my fair share of triple D during quarantine.

Idiot.

After seeing the food they're being given I can't say I blame him. Especially for a team that has no chance at doing anything.

JR Smith was talking about the food menu on IG the other day and it sounded pretty good, actually. Like he mentioned T-Bone steaks and some other yummy sounding dishes.

Disney should be able to feed them well. It's not like they don't have restaurant-quality food in their parks.

It's not like the NBA can just decide to reallocate that $170 million. Supposedly they will make about $600 million playing these seeding games, if instead they gave that $170 million away your talking about it being a net negative of almost $800 million for the NBA

The airplane meals thing was a temporary thing. Menu's were expanded after that a great deal.

Just listened to Malika Andrews on Windhorst’s podcast.

She said that Giannis is spending most of his time there with his two brothers versus other players.

a) good news re his free agency

b) hadn’t seen Thannasis mentioned as being in the bubble. Now confirmed he’s there.

This is a big problem mid- and long-term. Fortunately for us, they don't have guards yet.

Yes and no. The guard thing is very much true, but I don't think Ben will ever be able to guard Giannis in the post. He'll get moved around 9/10 times.

So this is some good news. Hospitals accidentally reporting positive results by 10X over their actual positives in Florida.

Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”
