Straw man argument. Nobody wants what you are saying.

Depends on your view of Dame. I see three camps here.
1) Dame is an All-NBA team talent. Just need more time and some coaching adjustments and he and Giannis will get us to the ECF at a minimum.
2) Dame is an All-NBA talent, but he doesn’t fit with Giannis. The team actually plays better when one guy is out.
3) Dame is a rich-man’s Mo Williams. The logo threes are spectacular, but the Coby White’s and Duncan Robinson’s of the world have career nights against him.
15-months ago I was at #1. I’m now somewhere between #2 and #3 right now. Add in that he’s 34 and it feels like we need to sell for future assets before his value evaporates due to age.

Well I will go back to the same question I always have. What PG fits with Giannis? Bledsoe didn't fit. Jrue didn't fit. Dame don't fit. I don't think Steph would fit because he needs the ball in his hand too. Luka certainly wouldn't fit. So who is out there?

Steph would be a phenomenal fit. Whoever it is, they need to be able to shoot off the catch. First stint George Hill was a great fit. Someone like him, but better.

Jrue, Bledsoe and George Hill all fit. Jrue really fit. The issue was more missing some other talent on the team.
When Khris Middleton played like Kawhi in 2021 we didn’t have problems.
When PJ was able to play a banging stretch 4-5 for us, less problems.
When Donte was actually healthy, we had a mobile, passing free safety guy that worked.
Jrue wasn’t the problem. We’re learning that lesson in hindsight unfortunately

The reality is that Middleton can't stay healthy, Brook is playing the worst basketball of his career and there isn't a PJ Tucker, Donte, or George Hill on this team. But somehow everyone expects them to better than they were with those guys and if they aren't then it must be Dame's fault. That makes no sense.

We would ruin Steph.. he'd make a 3.. shimmy shake and then our idiots won't give him the ball for 20 min because they want to see if they got that fire too

Not all Dame’s fault the team is 4-9.

Not all Dame’s fault the team is 4-9. To your point part of that is injuries and decline of talent. But at the same time Dame is uniquely bad on defense. And the NBA has figured out how to exploit it.

My targets would be Santi Aldama and Matisse Thybulle (injured right now, but should be nothing serious). Not sure about the exact trade packages. I think both are realistic targets.
Dame - Thybulle - Mids - Aldama - Giannis
Thybulle provides much needed elite POA defense. Aldama is a stretch swing/mobile big who can defend the perimeter (unlike BroLo). Revert to a switch-heavy scheme. Dame pre-switches and peels off to the corners.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

You said you weren’t sure what a package for Thybulle might look like. Did you have the bones of a proposal?

Do you just search Blazers or do you visit every board daily to check their trade threads? I'm honestly curious.

Adios, then. Sheesh.

Nope, we'd be great to him because he's a great teammate. He gives effort on defense. He's unselfish. Basically, he's the opposite of Dame.
