This is a new development. I turned her onto basketball over the past two years and now she is lusting after Giannis.
::sigh::

This has NEVER happened before (at least since they've recorded all of those stats). He's a lock to remain in the top twenty in all of those except assists where he's currently 20th. Goran Dragic is closest (among players who are still playing - - bledsoe has been shut down) at 7 assists behind GA.
Let's hope GA gets some assists in the last two games and that Dragic doesn't go crazy with a couple of double-digit games.
Wilt did it the year he was top 5 in assists, but they didn't track blocks then. He'll he was probably top 5 in all 5 that year.
Games like:
Wilt Chamberlain- 54 points, 36 rebounds, 14 assists, 24 blocks, 11 steals
I respect Wilt as much as anyone, but let's be honest. There would be less than 10 players from the 61-62 season that could make an NBA roster in 2017.
Matthew Dellavedova starts in the NBA in 2017. Your hyperbole is unnecessary and untrue.
If my count is correct, there were 7 HOF's on the all-star team in 61-62.

Not bad.
Harden doesn't dunk from the ft line in games. If the Bucks are ever a real contender with giannis the amount of bandwagon giannis fans is going to be absurd

Giannis last playoff memory was un tucking his jersey walking off the court after sending one flying into the stands (player not ball).
Looking forward to this two years on. Crazy to think he was a key player back then when you look at him now. He's going to be judged harshly by all as he's now a known top ten player. Really hope he puts on a show but either way this is the next step in his progression, rapid progression that is.

Anybody see Around the Horn today? I was pretty much going to fast forward thru because of this nothing-ass sports day but I saw "Giannis" as the 3rd topic so I grabbed my popcorn and watched. After a great intro from Reali about the first player to finish top 20 stat, the discussion turned out to be about inflated stats and does any of these numbers matter in the context of history because of the era. Not even a mention of Giannis from any of the panelists. Giannis was basically just their poster boy for the inflated stats era.
I know. "Who still watches Around the Horn?".
Whatever. I watched and I didn't like that sh*t. Didn't like that sh*t at all....

I'm surprised I'm not hearing more buzz about Giannis as 1st team All-Defense or a top 4 or 5 choice for DPOY. He nearly averaged 2 blocks and 2 steals a game. He's, IMO, the most versatile defensive player in the league. But guys like Lowe didn't even put him on the second team All-Defense,
