Going to post this on the trade board as well, but what kind of pick could Knight, Henson, 31 & 36 net us?

It depends if we're arguing stats or actual impact on wins with that 10-20 comment. If you're talking only points per game or something, sure, it's not THAT likely. If you're arguing impact on wins overall, I think it's definitely a strong possibility. But I'm a guy who doesn't see Knight as that valuable to winning games. He'll get OK raw stats at at best average efficiency, but he'll bog down your offense/miss on several easy plays. And while he's touted as a defender, he was REALLY bad in that area this year.

If you are willing to turn down something like say pick 21, 26 or whatever your cut off number is, what are you comfortable paying Knight going forward? As a comparison, check out his numbers this year vs 06-07 Mo Williams who got a six year, $51.5 mil contract that off-season.

He showed some positives this year, but his PG play was also a huge reason why we were as bad as we were, and as of right now I wouldn't want to offer him more than half that annually. There's always a team that will overpay for PPGZ, and I don't want us to be that team with Knight.

ETA - Here is his season compared to another young guard who put up 17 & 5 and was then rewarded that off-season with a seven year, 55 mil contract

I would trade knight for the best pick regardless. Unless he will agree to give it his all as a spark plug off the bench role and be paid as such (unlikely) he can go. Not going to ever be an above average started at point or 2g

If I were a GM I wouldn't even give up a pick in the teens for that combination of poop.

A bench scorer, a mediocre rotational big and two second rounders.

All it takes is one in over their head GM.

Eta: disagree Henson is a mediocre rotational big. He's a great rebounder and very good around the basket. Bad defender but good weak side shot blocker. His biggest weakness this year was playing under Drew. With a competent coach and minutes, he would of put up good, albeit somewhat empty, stats this year.

I don't think Henson is terrible or anything. I actually like that little hook he has offensively, he's solid on the glass and he's long enough to cause some problems on D. But he has a ton of weaknesses in his game that start with a lack of a 15-18 foot jumper that a guy like him is going to need to have if he wants to play the 4. I just don't think you can survive without it since one of your bigs needs to be able to at least space a little these days... and I just don't view him as a good enough defender to play the 5 full time.

He's a decent guy to have on your team, I just don't think he has a ton of value in terms of picks. I feel the same way about Knight. I like him as a bench scorer type guy who can play some D, I just don't think he has a ton of value.

I think especially is they lose Thomas that package could make sense to the Kings. Not really sure someone like Smart/Randle/Gordon is that enticing to their current situation, Smart probably more than the others.

Knight / McLemore / Gay / Henson / Boogie

Who is your bet for the first guy to tell the world he doesn't want to play in Milwaukee?

Depends where we are in the draft. At 1-3 I don't think anyone says anything, fall to four and I could see any of them saying it.

Exum has not so discreetly hinted that he really really wants to play for LA, so I guess of the top 4 prospects, he'd be the most likely. However, I don't think any of the top guys have character red flags, they all want to be the #1 pick.

I think it's a bit of a pride thing. Every guy wants to be viewed as "the best" in their respective classes.
