Nobody is saying Ersan isn't done, especially in terms of being a playoff contributor. But lots of players getting signed right now are done or were never good enough for this level. So if we're going to have to grab one or two of those guys for the next few weeks, why not him. He's at a position of need, local, knows the system, well liked by all. Everyone knows he's nothing more than filler.

Yet another opportunity to get Joe Johnson in a Bucks uniform goes by the wayside.

Ersan gives this team nothing in the short or long term. His ability on the floor isn't there and we're just not in a position that we get some sort of significant boost from his veteran status in the locker room. This team has already been there. Use the time to kick the tires on guys that you might feel there would be something there long term. That's what should be the goal here. You have the potential luxury at getting an extended and up close look at guys for your system. Use it to your advantage.

Fair take and obviously more serious approach. I think most are viewing this stretch right now as almost preseason or kind of just for fun/gimmicky while filling in the roster. Especially as so many other teams are doing this type of thing with guys like Johnson. Ersan did play real minutes in the NBA just 6-8 months ago for a winning team, he's not a complete bum and one could certainly make the argument the chances of him helping win a game or two now due to his being a high bball IQ type is higher than some young flier. But yea in general there's probably someone you can take a flier on hope to get lucky. I'd probably eye athletic bigs who can shoot, think Christian Wood 3-4 years ago.

Some G league type will make a name for himself and earn a spot through all this, but it's going to be rare.

You've got a post hype guy I've mentioned numerous times on this board playing EXCELLENT ball for the Clippers in Hartenstein. I've mentioned Giles in the same breath as he over and over again, and he's now in the process of adding a triple to his repertoire. Also, Jontay Porter.

Makes sense, but a shame we couldn't pull the trigger quick enough to make it Gabriel.

Pretty uninspiring 10 day. Total throwaway. Would have liked to see us kick the tires on Oturu, Echenique, or Cameron Oliver.

With Giannis, Donte and Bobby exiting protocol soon I'm not sure why we signed him now. Of course they'll be others in protocol at some point ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I take it he's like the 5th most interesting member of the Herd?

He looked pretty good defensively to me so if he can even give some solid minutes on that end it is a bonus compared to what Thannies and Semi have been doing.

Just a little disappointing that they're only now using the hardship and it's for about the 4th guy on the Herd I'd have liked to have seen signed.

If anyone wants some Bucks JOM, the most recent Lowe post is very complimentary of the Bucks and their chances this year.

DeLaurier is good at running up and down the floor and I think that's about it.

The Columbian, Echenique, is an interesting back story. I could go for him, or your earlier suggestion, Harry Giles.
