Can we agree at least some of that is on Bud?

Man, this just isn't true. Are some of you guys already misremembering that series when it wasn't even two years ago? Giannis didn't average 35/13/5 on 66% TS with lobs and post-up jump hooks my guy. This whole "Giannis relentlessly attacking the rim doesn't work" narrative is making my head hurt.

And yet I was under the impression that a 28 year-old world class athlete us always gassed by halftime because he “just plays so hard all the time.”

Giannis has chronic knee pain. Should he have played more minutes the final month of the season? No.

Brook is 35. He played 78 games. He averaged more minutes this year than he did the championship year. Should he have played more minutes the final month of the season? No.

Jrue is 32, he averaged more minutes per game this year than he did our championship year. Should he have played more minutes the final month of the season? No.

Middleton only played 33 games because wrist and knee injuries. Should he have played more minutes the final month of the season? No.

I think there was a lot of placating Giannis to give him extra minutes and stat hunt at the end of the season. Don't remember what game it was, but we had that close call toward the end of the season where he tweaked a knee.

Yeah, he was in the game in the closing seconds and went for a massive chase down block and landed super awkwardly.

Seems like Bud let Giannis stat chase when he wanted to. And clearly didn’t stop him from driving into walls and taking super low percentage threes. There is certainly a potential downside but a coach holding Giannis to a higher standard to play within a system, kind of like when Phil Jackson got Jordan to play within a system, might be beneficial to the team and making it easier on Giannis.

If we want to go young Atkinson could be the better option, he had that young nets team humming. He turned Joe Harris into Klay lite.

Like this shouldn't even be a discussion.

I work 8 hours a day would it kill Khris Middleton to put in at least 0.5 hours.

Oh no you didn't!

Classic my job vs his job take.

Chones must be on a beach in cacun or posting on a banana boat in Miami.

Old team played but never adjusted and played too random.
One coach said... I got a ring, I'll turn them old guys back into dogs working in tandem.
The other coach said...i got a ring but, As an assistant. When I did coach I had trouble with egos and said fk them.

Gambo on Twitter verified that this is his reporting. Hopefully he's just wrong. Would be a disgusting hire

With all due respect to Giannis, if that’s true, he’s an idiot.

I have a hard time believing loudmouth Phoenix guy is the one person in the world that has a read on what Giannis is thinking here.

I mean, fair. But I also wouldn’t put it past the guy who thinks not winning a title and losing in the first round isn’t a failure.

Giannis might respond well to former NBA players. Nurse and Atkinson played ball but not at the NBA level. Thats to say, if there's any validity to that report. No idea, but that could be his mindset

Not sure what that has to do with anything here. Maybe Griffin is a great coach. Seems like by far the riskiest option to me.
