Terry Stotts would have this 2-0 our way and would play at least 3 guards at all times.

One positive: Sims is a real problem on defense for Indy. They could not hit shots over him. It was ugly.

That was "One Positive," by your friend, Sox.

Also one positive is Doc did play him despite his recent injury, for a time even that wasn’t a certainty.

If Brook is fine to come back on a cheap deal i’d keep him. Just need a better coach to identify when and when not to use him

Hoping Houston loses as a potential landing spot for Dame.

Being a Bucks fan is circular torture! were right back to meddling owners, poor coaching carousel, and a few star players that dont seem to really have much on court chemistry. If I were the owners, Id realize I screwed up by bringing in doc and lighting 40M on fire. id then, orchestrate a RFP for a POBO candidate requesting their vision and detailed plan of cleaning up this mess, id expect them to fire and rebuild the entire front office, staff Scout team on up as well as the coaching staff. the plan should be figuring out how to maximize the rest of GAs prime here in MKE and get back to a legitimate championship contender. Dame would be traded for young athletic players that can shoot and defend and whatever draft compensation we can claw back

Mke: Hart
Nyk: KD
Phx: Mikal, Bobby, Robinson, ‘31 swap from us

I don’t think it would be at the top of my list this off-season, but I do love Hart as a player.

i think it probably makes sense to keep the swaps on even years so that we can fully trade every other. Also, I love Hart but i think we would better off finding the next Hart and hypothetically getting a bargain. Thats how many of these teams are now profiting. See: Hart, White, Powell, etc

Maybe Rollins evolves to our Hart

We need to find the right GM. And give that guy power to hire his own coach. Not an easy task, but it needs to happen as soon as the playoffs end for Milwaukee.

I get the love for Sims, but man are his hands horrible. He couldn't corral a rebound to save his life.

Indy fouls on every rebound.

I just want to remind people, when you look at this roster and think we’re lacking a ton of talent, that coaching matters a ton for role player utility, and that in turn changes the perception of talent.

We definitely need a boost there, but the Cavs are a good example of this.

Cleveland got Sam Merril after he bounced around the league and turned him into a vital role player last year which he’s continued to be this year. Cleveland also found Ty Jerome, who bounced around the league in a bit role, and has exploded for them this year. He’s putting up 12ppg in slightly under 20mpg.

Diamonds can be unearthed, but it’ll take the proper GM and coach to get us there. I think Rollins could be one of those dudes for us moving forward, but we’ll need the proper coach to put him in positions to succeed.

Get a GM right after the playoffs end. Have them hire a new coach: Quinn, Borrego, Vogel, Nori

Two remaining bullets in the chamber to build a contender around Giannis are the 31st and Dame.

For Dame, I'd be looking at Orlando. Maybe you can fetch Suggs but if they balk (which I'd expect), you can build a trade around 3 quality guys and draft compensation.
Dame, Livingston, Smith for KCP, Cole Anthony, Jon Isaac, Harris

Then Kuz, 31st, Dre for Deni and Kris Murray

Cole Anthony/ Rollins
KCP/ KPJ/ Green/ Gary Harris
Deni/ Kris Murray/ Pat
Giannis/ Bobby/ Thanasis
Jonathan Isaac/ Brook

Unrealistic? Yeah, probably. But something along the lines is what I'd be looking at

I want to see Sims starting. I’d give him a chance to start next season when hopefully they let Brook walk or S&T him to Orlando.

What teams do you use him against in the playoffs? Just pull off the bandaid and let him go.

Here’s a realistic offseason plan that doesn’t involve miracle trades:
Let Brook walk
Let Prince walk
Talk Bobby into opting in
Get rid of Pat and Kuz however possible, even waving and stretching them if there is no path to trade them plus a pick for someone semi-playable.
Split the MLE between KPJ and GTJ
Retain Sims
Sign three new two ways
New GM and new coach

A Joe Dumars/Troy Weaver pairing in New Orleans makes me think they're a great organization to take advantage of. Maybe a guy like Herb Jones is much more attainable now, but I also wouldn't hate the idea of taking on Murray's contract for Kuzma/Pat if they could throw an extra asset our way.

Think bigger, Dumars will want to make a splash:
Dame for Murray/Herb/Kelly/2026&2028 Swap rights undone

This plus retaining Sims means you can let Brook and Bobby walk.

See if Nico still wants Kuz.
Trade Pat to anyone who can take in his salary in exchange for a guy making less but has two years left.

Kuz for Klay, is Nico dumb enough to do that?

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
